I'm sure man have seen it already, but it's a very good movie. 8.2/10 on IMBd. The plot is about John Nash, a mathematician who made significant advancements of Game Theory in Economics, and often referred to as the founding father of it; eventually winning the Nobel Prize in Economics in 1994. It takes place in the 1950s-1960s, and is a very powerful movie, with good writing and acting. A solid 9/10 for me. A definite must watch, addresses many important topics about people in effective ways - apologies for being so broad, but I don't want to give the movie away. Definitely looking to watch some more classics with a similar style. I suppose the only complaint I can make is it omits some things from what happened in reality, but of course that is to be expected when watching a movie rendition of the story.

I like the new backstory for Aquaman but + Show Spoiler + ORM really isn't as much of a threat as Darkseid but still humiliates the JLU 1v7. I mean, yes he has magic, but he's still a human now, albeit one with gills. He didn't even have the troops necessary to assault more locations in the world. Compared to old aquaman he's nothing. I think they should've called Superman, Batman, and Flash away on a separate mission. John Wick The nice thing about this movie is it's not serving some ulterior purpose. It doesn't hate on a specific group of people like in Assault on Wall Street, and it's not themed after a well known anti hero like Punisher. It's kind of got a good enough story and then a lot of action. This isn't some movie about morality. It's a revenge movie and it's pure. I'd be lying if I said I didn't ever feel like taking revenge on people. + Show Spoiler + It was nice how they built Wick up as a character. Like at first he's just some random person, then as the movie went on we learned more and more about him. How he'd lost a wife. How he was famous even among cops. The value of specific gold coins. It feels like you're learning something else about the story every second. I think they should have tried to show passage of time with his dog but that's a minor critique. Wick is an amazing shooter and I felt like he got back in shape, getting better as the movie progressed. There was some gun kata reminiscent of Equilibrium. He's just not that great in hand to hand combat. I felt like this was to build suspense so he didn't just do everything easily and it was somewhat believable. I guess he's just not as great a martial artist as he is a shooter. You shouldn't be watching this expecting well choreographed martial arts. It's more similar to street brawling or MMA. Very similar to the first Taken in terms of feel. Unbroken The movie was done very well. I just can't really relate to it at all. As with all villains, + Show Spoiler + the bird is really interesting and the more clouded in secret his life is, the more interested we are in him. I think he took over half the movie, as you're wondering what motivated him to be so cruel to the prisoners. Of course he loved his country but not enough to do that to prisoners. The movie just hints that maybe he didn't become an officer like he'd wanted but even when he became a sergeant he was still just as brutal. Guy seemed legit crazy. If this movie was trying to show the indomitable hope that this particular man had in him, it did it very well in + Show Spoiler + the raft scenes, and less well in the Japanese camps. As a biography, the movie was great.

Ok. Just to help with your reading comprehension. "Recent movies I enjoyed" means they're probably going to be seven or higher. I don't enjoy watching 6/10's Fury being the worst movie you've ever seen* is your opinion but it's at odds with the general consensus (78% RT, 87% liked) and doesn't give you the right to bash mine. There are far worse mainstream war movies (Pearl Harbour/Thin Red Line, let alone other genres - Transformers/Sucker Punch/The Hours/Spiderman 3). I like Saving Private Ryan, but as you probably didn't read Fury's "the best war movie I've seen in years". SPR is from 1998. Compared to recent war films, Fury is at least decent and is the first one I've seen to portray tank warfare (the tension reminded me of Crimson Tide/Red October - being stuck in a big metal can waiting to die). I'd love to hear your idea of great recent films. Saw The Drop, definitely worth watching for Hardy. 8.5/10 As for trash films, the Hobbit is a cinematic atrocity 3.5/10 for CGI and being the last one (hopefully). Script is barely edited. + Show Spoiler + Fights are stupid even by Jackson standards and it's basically only fighting with a prologue of riveting laketown politics and Thorin speaking in slow-mo 'cos 'gold fever'. Also the Billy Connolly cameo... wtf where they thinking? I found this film so offensive on so many levels it still makes me angry. Walked out when Thorin died to that retarded ice surprise attack.

Just saw: ![]() Pride: 8/10, really nice movie on an interesting bit of history. In the same vein as Billy Elliot, those English directors really know how to make sweet comedy on dramatic situations. ![]() St Vince: 6,5/10, a little too many sentimental cliché for me, very promising kid actor tho.

It has a lot of cool and funny scenes, not in a typical comedy style, but in an artistic and interesting way. Also Ben Stiller really play a different role than I'm used to seeing him, which is so positive, because normally I dont enjoy his roles. I agree. It was kinda escapism porn for aging boomers, but it was still a really good movie. There were a lot of really awesome things in it. In particular, the first time where something "happens" really threw me for a loop. I think Stiller's alright to pretty good, but he did better in this role for some reason, than his normal type of role.

He clearly has more talent then that, actually I dont even find him funny as a comedian so its a shame his career went to waste there.

It's definitely better than Lone Survivor. There's obviously a big pro-country push but there isn't that much of a pro-God one. It honestly tones down the conservative elements quite a bit.

Wildly funny without being cheap, though violent and shocking at times. It consists of 6 short movies revenge-themed, and it tackles some issues like corruption and social inequality in a funny and original way. It's a great, great movie. I encourage everyone to check it out.

Eastwood did well with the shit he was given imo. The more I think about it, the less pro-war I think it actually was. Obviously the book and Kyle were (and we know Eastwood's political leanings) but it really didn't make it seem that great or noble. Think about the scene with his brother.

Also, spoiler + Show Spoiler + Either a ton of the stuff in the movie was fake and needless hollywood stupidity or real life is far crazier than i thought it could be. Was there really a Mustafa recurring bad guy in real life? Did anything like the insane last scene on the rooftop really take place? Highly doubtful im sure... Why did they need to even add that stuff to the movie? Just seemed so generic and dumb.
