Surely the best movie from last year that I've seen. One of the only movies I've ever seen that reflects equally well on art and life.

The execution not so much (that's also one of the reasons why Ellison has dropped the suit against the movie and didn't want any credit to him shown in it). If you want REALLY good movie about dystopian future, with great concept and execution then you should watch Code 46 instead. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_46 One of the best movies I've ever seen. Especially if you take into account their low (for such movie) budget (nearly 6 times smaller budget than In Time's).

Did not read about it just bought it, watched it, and was became disappointed. Disappointed??? One of the best movies in the past decade. What were you expecting, a romantic comedy?

Pretty sure sequels were planned before they even released the film, so I'm sure they'll lead into that. Saw Carter, Contraband and Game of Shadows recently, loved John Carter, Contraband was meh, Game of Shadows was good but not as good as the first.

It took a little time before I got into it, but it's quite intriguing that a couple weeks of someone famous' life can be made into a movie. I enjoyed it purely for the nostalgia, and I like these kind of films that transport you back into times unknown to me (Midnight in Paris-esque).

It just never piqued my interest.

In fact...a lot of what was in the movie wasn't in the book like the "Thars". I know for a fact they weren't in the book. Do you mean the Tharks? Like the race of tall green martians with 4 arms? They were in the book for sure. But if that's not what you're referring to, then my mistake. Tharks

I don't think it's canonical and I never got too into X-Men, only recently watched a few episodes of X-Men Evolution. But I liked the background stories. Does something like canon really exist in marvel comics?
