To people who say there hasn't been action, they must be people who have read the books? For me, someone who rates his favourite show as The Wire, the pace of this show is intense right from the off. Changing scenes and moving forward in time without warning, changing characters suddenly and plot strings suddenly. There was loads of action and intrigue in the second episode. Right from the question of whether Bran would survive, to the assassination attempt, to that little douchebag Joffre's douchey attack on the ginger boy. I really like the tomboy girl actress, she is awesome :D. Although all that being said I am really put off by the nudity and sex scenes. Why can't they have some class, like the great and classic TV show 'I, Claudius'. There was far more implied sex in that show than there is in Spartacus, it was just that though, IMPLIED. I hate this modern style of showing tits and pounding flesh. If I want porn I'll get porn. So is the dwarf, Peter Dinklage. He has a great accent for an american, he is a fantastic actor and really showing that playing roles when you are a dwarf is not always about being the size and that's that. He has shades of Warwick Davis, a good british actor, but a little more Shakespearian delivery. And finally, I can very much understand book readers complaining about details and plot movement, of course you will get that. But anyone complaining about Danaery's age, please just think about what the hell you are talking about. Show sex scenes with a 13 year old??? Since when would that be even remotely decent?? The thought that they were even included in the original book has MASSIVE shades of "Mouth-breathing fat nerd author wanking into a sock whilst thinking about underage girl getting drilled by rough horse-lord".

Grab your history book and look it up, not many people in medieval Europe got over the age of 30 and marriage with 12-15 was common.

There are plenty of those for different parts of this epic story. When you wait 5 years between books speculations runs rampart to kill time

I couldn't find her in the cast, and it doesn't really make sense for her to play the part, but she looks so similar. It was RoxAnne Mckee who was in the British 'Young Persons Soap' Hollyoaks http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roxanne_McKee

I don't remember a lot of things about the books except that it is a great book, that I loved it, but that I was somehow discouraged at how the story was written. Jon Snow was my favorite character, but I was so disapointed about his story, far away from the main course (which is the fight for the throne around the Stark / Lannisters). I wonder how this split between characters and all those stories within the story will do on TV. Still liked the two first episode a lot, but not the sex scenes. It's so boring to watch...

Dont worry about it there is no proof what so ever. Its 100% guessing and speculation. There are no solid arguments what so ever to support this.

Regardless, you have to admit it does have shades of that which I explained. And similarly, anyone who is upset that Danaerys' isn't 13 in this show has those same shades. Even if you profess that your intentions are to 'preserve historical context', it's still damn shady.

And will further emphasize the "13 yo" point. In medieval times, puberty was basically a rite of passage into womanhood. Old enough to bleed, old enough to breed. There wasn't some modern "age limit" on marriage or sexual activity. None of this modern "at 17 they're jailbait, just thinking about them should be punished with life in prison as a child molester unless you're younger than 20....a day later they are legally screwable by anyone on the planet" bs. I'm not saying 13 year olds should be fair game for all 40 year old creeps out there, but quit acting all horrified when someone mentions sex and <18 in the same sentence.
