I read something I wish I didn't read because it is very important and very far in the future if it is true. I am done with this thread, no more reading, no more posting. Was fun and informative with the 95% here who just want to discuss the series with so many people being either too stupid to not spoiler the books or just being dicks it is not worth it.

Sucks when people spoil the fun of others ![]() Keep enjoying the show man, and if you don't mind me saying, give the books a try, too, when you have the time (or the show is done in some distant future, haha), it's sooo worth it!

Like, if you don't respect your audience enough to think that without this fantasized prostitution for horny 15 yo macho virgins you won't get people interested, you got to reconsider your artistic integrity. If they could keep youporn and my fantasy show separated I would be grateful to them. That's dumb and vulgar. What the hell happened with the music at the end? I thought my stream was broken. Is it seriously meant to be?? From wiki: "The decision to place the song at the end of the episode, right after the amputation of Jaime's hand, was made to reinforce the surprise of the viewers: “It’s such a shocking ending and when we read the scene in the books it was so shocking to us. To really hammer home the shock of that moment you need something unexpected. There’s no version of a traditional score that would keep you as off balance as we wanted that scene to leaving you feeling" Well, it was so unexpected that I thought "Oh no a crap advert" and I turned the sound down. I don't really agree with that point of view. I don't care much for the sex scenes, but neither do I find them vulgar. Imagine yourself in a subway. There are two different situations. In one situation, a girl flashes her boobs at you. In the other situation, a random guy comes in and stabs someone in front of you. Which of the two situations would shock you the most? I can hardly see why the naked body of a woman would be more vulgar than blood and gore. Not that I'm in the writers head, but perhaps that's what they're trying to get across. I suppose you could play the devil's advocate and say that the blood and gore isn't real in GoT but the boobs sure are. I guess you'd be right. But boobs sure as hell aren't dangerous.

Solution: Don't read the last pages of the thread live. Give the mods some time to moderate first.

Reminds me of the saying: once an actress takes her clothes off it stops being fiction and starts being a documentary. But I think the other question to ask is: Can you tell the story without showing the violence? Can you convey the sexuality without the nudity? I'd argue you can on the second (Pod's scene stars with him staring at Ros's covered up chest and the last whore he gets is clothed too). Personally, I could get the point with implied violence and enjoy the show just as much; but I know a lot of people would complain about it being white-washed or unrealistic if you took out the gore. I guess some people feel the same way about sex and nudity as well. I say they lack imagination =p.

It would be the same story with the same plot. But it would be told differently. If this is how the author chooses to tell the story, then that's how it should probably be told. I think it's there to pack an extra punch and it fulfills that role quite well.

Although Jon will probably meet up with Brann and such first somehow. I wonder what will happen to the Baratheon's blacksmith son. the red bitch was talking about people with the same blood as stannis, i think they are talking about roberts bastard with arya also in a preview i think i saw the leader of the men without banners and the red bitch talking. Running in to the men without banners just might have saved both their lives.
