Also I think the show is spending waaaaaay to much time on Tyrion. I understand that he is a massive fan favorite but cmon, hes not really doing anything. Still loved the episode.

I'll go out on a limb and predict that Cersei won't find Jaime quite as handsome from now on.

Oh she knows what he's saying, she's just pretending not to know. You can tell by her reactions. She is a Targaryen so it does not seem improbable that she'd atleast know rusty High Valyrian. I'm pretty sure she has even said some things in High Valyrian earlier in the series and at the end of her "chapter" in the most recent episode the translator girl she got says "valar-[something]"(which is High Valyrian) which Dany completley understands and even translates herself.

Valar Morghulis, Jaqen said it to Arya before she left as well. To be seen how it relates Oo

Anyway now that I've calmed down from seeing Jaime lose his hands and can think about this... Jaime - I guess this means he won't die for at least a little while, otherwise cutting his hand off would be pointless. I hope this is a "rebirth" of a character - he has changed quite a bit since pushing Bran out that window. Obviously no longer a Kingsguard, and true heir to Casterly Rock, I wonder how Tywin would view this. (A dwarf and a cripple for sons...ouch.) Assuming he even makes it back to King's Landing. Danni - I can't see her losing a dragon. Judging from how much she hates slavery, I expect her to roast the slavers pretty soon. Question is - the Unsullied are loyal to their owners, which would be Danni. Is that true or would they turn on her? Robb and gang - man Robb is a smart guy (minus the marriage). Too bad he's surrounded by fools, and some guys with plans of their own. That Blackfish guy seems really cool though. Jon/Night's Watch - Why is Mance so set on invading Castle Black? I wonder if Jon can unite the two sides to face a common enemy. Otherwise it's going to be pretty hard to stop a gigantic army of wildlings. Meanwhile shit's going down in that incest place though I have no idea what. King's Landing - I feel bad for Tyrion, but he's such a resourceful guy that I feel he'll handle the finances fine. And Podrick is a hell of a man (though - like some people said - I suspect Tyrion made the girls to return the money, both to boost Podrick's self esteem and to test what he'd do with the money). Littlefinger marrying Catelyn's sister - no idea when that was arranged, but this doesn't bode well for Robb.

I enjoyed this episode. I know what happened to Ned really demonstrates that no one is safe in this show, but I kind of figured that Jaime had plot armor for a decent while still. I was quite surprised. Kind of ironic (or foreboding?) that the one time we see him show compassion for anyone by giving Brienne a hand, he quite literally loses a hand not 2 minutes later. Seems like nice guys always finish last in this show! I've never thought this before, but I was also disappointed that there was no new Bran scene. Can it be Sunday again yet?

Random thought: I hope we get to see that red head witch naked again. 2nd random thought: I hope the witch finds Jamie and restores him, but forces him to fight for her.

If I am not mistaken, that is the place where Arya fought Joffrey in the beggining of Season 1. Where she tells her wolf to flee and Sansa's wolf get killed afterwards.

Littlefinger marrying Catelyn's sister - no idea when that was arranged, but this doesn't bode well for Robb. Valar Morghulis just means "All men must die" in High Valyrian. Seems like the sort of phrase that would fit right in with an assassin's organization, but yeah I don't know how "secret" it is. Most likely Arya is referring to when the Hound cut down Mycah (the butcher's boy) in Season 1, but they don't clarify that in Episode 3. It's the event that most clearly defines Arya's hate for Clegane, so it's most likely that. Kingsguard traditionally serve for life...this is why it was so unusual and insulting for the Lannisters to dismiss Barristan Selmy the way that they did. Jaime may well have lost a hand, but he is by no means "definitely" not a Kingsguard anymore. Could you see them shaming him like that? He has another hand he can learn to fight with. The wildlings are less interested in defeating the Others than they are in just getting the fuck away. The Wall is a pretty formidable barrier and if they don't do something, they will be trapped between The Wall and the Others. There's also a lot of deep-seated enmity between those two factions, so an alliance would be difficult to come by. And I think they spoke about Littlefinger traveling to the Eyrie to try to woo Lysa towards the end of Season 2, didn't they? I seem to remember them discussing that prior to this episode.

I hope we'll get to see more of "Brutus". I couldn't stop smiling during the funeral. This actor is great at playing very unfortunate people.

I don't see how Jaime can fight anymore. He holds his sword with both hands, AND he lost his dominant hand. So he has to 1) get over the loss of his hand, 2) get back in shape after being chained for a year, 3) learn to use his left hand, and 4) learn a new weapon, like Arya's rapier. With Joffrey already setting the precedent for Kingslayers no longer serving for life, and Tywin still at a loss for an heir, Jaime returning to his house would make sense. And yeah if that's where the Hound killed Mycah...that makes sense.

When Tyrion met Shay and got drunk with her he told her how Jaime arranged them saving a girl from rape and her thanking him with sex. He fell in love and was crushed when he found out all was an act. Then his father made him watch her getting gangbanged.
