While I really like the series as a whole and the recent episode, I have to say I think most of the fighting scenes are rather poorly done as far as choreography and cinematography goes.

The episode has some good scenes, but as soon as there's action required, it plunges into Xena Warrior princess territory, with horrible acting and low-budget fight chorography. We even had a Dr. Evil laughing in his lair type scene... awesome :\ You seriously need to give more details then this because I seen none of what you speak?!

In regards to episode 8: transition episodes are a necessary evil, especially in a series that simultaneously tracks the separate story lines of several different characters. As far as transition episodes go this one was pretty entertaining, and next week will be excellent for sure.

+ Show Spoiler + mm the episode is great, but i was expecting different things.. i was expecting the kings brother (stanis?) to come forward with his army, and also khal drogo to get started on coming to westeros or sth.. im kinda afraid of greyjoy.. robb should make clear to him what stands if they win.. making him lord again, giving him the iron islands or w/e tyrion should not have kept his bargain with those tribes.. with lordship in danger, lady arryn weill most probably figth

For fucks sake... Some of the backstory has been left out, all they're doing is just filling in the blanks when people don't know... I for one is grateful for the little parts of information that the show may never cover....

I thought some of this was explained in the scenes with ros about him not being a ward or w/e? doesnt really spoiler anything that wasn't kinda hinted at . although the bit about why may be a spoiler, so wouldn't recommend anyone to look at the above convo ![]()

After that, there was the scene with Ros in episode 5. And most recently there was the scene with Osha (the captured wildling woman) in episode 7, where the Maester asks Theon if he feels the terms "guest" and "prisoner" are mutually exclusive. In other words, its been mentioned and explained a number of times, but its one of those things that easily slip by since Theon is a relatively small character. However, spelling it out to those who didn't make the connection is hardly spoiling anything, just clearing things up.

The show "may never cover" a lot of things but that doesn't mean we discuss them before they happen, furthermore the header specifically says "NO BOOK DISCUSSIONS" for this very reason. Sure, maybe they don't touch on this particular instance in THIS book or later in the show, but we don't know that, and once people start talking about shit that hasn't been revealed in the show we run into problems. Best solution, don't talk about shit that hasn't been revealed in the show.

For fucks sake... Yes it has been covered in the show, about as superficially as the post you quoted. You must have missed it. Relax.

If it came as a surprise to you, you haven't being paying attention when watching the episodes.
