Syrio was quite the badass, going out that way. I am still wondering though, in the previous episode with the attempted murder of the Khaleesi, Jorah was given a notice that he had received his pardon from the king and could return home. I assumed that meant Jorah would be the one to kill the Khaleesi, but that wasn't the case in that episode and it wasn't explained further in this one. This leads me to believe that he was receiving the pardon in advance for letting the trader murder the Khaleesi? If this is so, then why would he let her die if he already received the pardon. If anyone has answers to this seeming hole the plot please explain, and if it is too much of a spoiler send it to me in an PM. Thanks.

I believe it was for providing the intel necessary for the assassination to occur. He had been spying on them the entire time for the spider. In the end though he was too loyal to her to go through with it. That's my take on it at least.

Syrio scene was bad ass. Rob with Luwin and Theon and being all like "I'll go to King's Landing but not by myself, gather the bannermen" gave me shivers :D Barristan scene was awesome as well. With the episode being called "The Pointy End" I thought Arya would have a bigger role but we only saw her in the very beginning . Who was the boy she needled?

Just saw it. I can't believe there's only 2 episodes left. Also, which episodes did George RR Martin write?

I think it's actually pretty much the same? At least, that's about how weak a wound I remember it being. In the book the way its described comes off as part of his breast is basically barely hanging on. The way I thought of it was more imagine his left pectoral(basically the area around his left nipple) was sliced almost off and is barely hanging on by a small scrap of flesh.

I don't feel entitled to his writing despite looking forward to it and i am not critisising him for the speed in wich he prefers to write. I am simply saying that more time doesn't make for a better book and if you really sit down to write a book you don't need more then a year. As someone who is beggining to write something of equally epic proportions, I respectfully disagree, theres a lot of background work that you need to do before you put things into the paper, if you neglect it, you will be where he was, when you have many lose ends you need to string toghether and altho not impossible, sometimes inspirations comes in weird ways, and I agree, sometimes people take let themselves be taken away by a lack of inspiration and stop writing for months, but I believe for my product to achieve the quality I desire a few years of thinking plots characters, world timelines, and etc... will be necessary So I can just put the end world concept into paper and also add the creativity of the moment. Then theres the edits where more content is added and more plots tweaked. Sometimes I wish as authors, you could launch a 2.0 version of your story, because I can guarantee you, so many authors out there are writing their third books thinking (damn I wish I did XX and Y in the first).

It kind of makes sense that this was changed for TV. : ) There's good reasons in the Book -> TV translations where you can't explain the biological effects of the wound as well. As is, the wound was intended to be shown as insignificant. I'd say the best way to do that is to have a small flesh wound helped by him walking into the blade. Visually, people may reach that conclusion less readily when they see a big flap of skin hanging off.
