Also, this is the best season so far. There's a lot of "big things" happening this season comparing the the previous ones. And if they are following the same pattern as before, I guess something really huge will happen in the next episode.

That means, most likely no climax at ep. 9.

Actually that would be a pretty amazing pot twist. Well of course Tyrion would have to escape first. The 2 other trials by combat (tyrion in the Vale and the hound vs flaming sword guy) left me under the impression that in case of a loss the accused would face execution rather immediately. Well I guess in more playing with expectations they might not even address this issue in the next episode. Looks like it's going to be almost exclusively nights watch vs wildlings; which at the moment I think might have trouble living up to the expectations (read: standards set by previous 9th episodes). Unless Jon (or at least Sam) ends up dieing.

Also, fuck this I am sad now ![]() Couldn't be more excited to know how Tyrion's fate will turn out though. too gore for me too, no idea why decided to make it like that cant imagine most people enjoyed it especially when people liked oberyn and apparently in books his death wasnt that violent

I totally expect Tyrion to make it look like he can somehow weasel his way out of his situation, only to then get executed unceremoniously just like Ned Stark did. And even though I'm saying this right now, I'll be surprised and shocked anyway. This, I think what chocked up ppl the most is that in the built up it seemed Oberyn was gonna win. In the red wedding you could tell something fishy was up, here, until the ranting started everything seemed ok. Even the trailers seemed to suggest Oberyn's victory, which I consider particularly evil ![]()

Could have been a couple more minutes. Anyways, great episode! Probably one of the bes in this season. Sad for Oberyn... but well that´s just the way GoT works.

There are no dead bystanders in the show, but it was pretty faithful to the books. A comic of the fight: http://mccomseycomix.wordpress.com/2013/06/26/the-red-viper-vs-the-mountain-that-rides-a-12-page-comic/ As always, avoid comments and other potential linkages to possible spoilers.

I found the sound most unsettling. His screaming and the smoosh of his skull. Disturbing.
