Rewatching the scene, I think they fed us enough to make Margery and Lady Oba-chan the real culprits.
"Hes choking!"
"Idiots, help your king!"
Cmon, now. Its literally spoon-fed that they acted out to look concerned for the king as soon as he showed signs of being poisoned. Automatically clearing themselves for culprits of being suspect. This is an important bit because if you can fool the witnesses, then it doesnt matter if Cersei or whoever else wants to put the blame on them, cause the people will protest against it.
Well played, gg.
edit: I believe it was the pie that was poisoned. Not the cup. Margery was stuffing his mouth of with it, and shared no bites of her own.

bird blood poisoning when he cut open the cake. lol.
I like the idea of tyrells behind the act. They have a queen, it's an official wedding, plenty of witnesses. Where is my greyjoy iron born female heir that was going to save theon? Better not of forgot about her, she was going places

Little annoyed at the continuity about jamie having the valarian sword in his hand and the next second carrying nothing when training with bron
|
haha yeah, I found the camera shot on the cake with the dead birds somewhat overly dramatic. It's not entirely out of the world that no one actually killed him, but he killed himself.

I was actually interested to see what the inside of the pie looked like since it seemed it was full of birds and Joffrey smacked the shit out of it with his sword. Pretty much saw what I thought had happened, lol.

Everyone hates joffrey so much but I bet in 2-3 episodes people start to miss him. One of the most interesting characters in the series so far imo.

Hmm, is there a person in the background in the Bran scene? Looks like someone standing in the left side of the shot, after he's woken up from the wolf dream.
|
Even though many people did want Geoffrey dead, nobody would have really gained anything from his death.
I would think everybody would benefit from not having a madman on the throne. Including the Lannisters, who'd still have the throne to themselves, except Tommen is way easier to handle than Joffrey was.

And wasnt bran woken up by hordor saying hordor, like whispering into his ear, yet it's the chick that hovering over him and hordors sitting far away.

hmm even tho sansa hates joffery would love to see him die, i cant help but think she wouldnt be capable of the plan or execution. I think maybe the old lady, and the jesterknight got together to plan this (more old lady doing it and him playing a middle man) cause he gave a necklace to sansa, and people have been saying that Lady Olenna took something from her, (maybe without sansa even knowing)...then again why would olenna need to take it from sansa why not have it in her gown anyway, and this is assuming its the cup poison and not the cake, cake would seem a better choice normally the person celebrated gets the first piece, and definitely the king would have the first piece.
I think the olenna family defintely has something to gain from killing joffery, like remember the previous season where joffery had his crossbow thing, and then margery went to olenna and told her that hes a monster. Margery definitely wouldnt want to be with him for long. btw why doesnt tiwin look as suprised, he looks like he doesnt give a shit. ( hard to imagine tiwin doing it cause wedding connections was something he set up) Man at the start i thought this ep was a bit bland but that ending
edit: when joffery was choking or believe to be choking, why didnt jamie or anyone else actully u know try and grab him from the behind and stomach, and like do that lifting thing to save people from choking. (i gess he definitely didnt die from the food in his throat especially after all that blood) but also wouldnt it be pretty damn easy to find it was the cake or his goblet that posioned him, get 2 slaves, one eats the cake one drinks from the goblet

Believe me when I say there is plenty more to come, you won't miss Joffrey that much. Give the show and the series a little more credit than that.

Including the Lannisters, who'd still have the throne to themselves, except Tommen is way easier to handle than Joffrey was. I cannot disagree more: Geoffrey was very much under control both by the Lannisters and by Magaery. Remember the scene with Tywin sending Geoffrey to bed?
Tyrion: You just sent the most powerful man in Westeros to bed without his supper. Tywin: You’re a fool if you believe he’s the most powerful man in Westeros.
Likewise, Margaery had soothed and manipulated him to a degree that she had complete control over him.
He was a weak king. None of these people actually had a compelling reason to kill him.
