Well Dexter doesn't kill to serve some justice. He kills because he has to, he merely tries to limit the victims to murderers.

You know the feeling you get in the pit of your stomach on a roller coaster as you're slowly climbing towards the top? That's how I felt throughout this episode, and there's still 20 minutes to go.... I almost don't want to finish lol.
Just wanna add that I really really hope that the season doesn't end with Lumen killing Liddy to protect Dexter and dexter killing Lumen to uphold the code.
Also... I just wanna say that that was the best episode of the season by far. There were a lot of moments that harkened back to past episodes. Dexter and Lumen hooking up after her first kill really just felt so natural. The look on her face after she killed the banker.... It was a look of unbridled exhilaration. And when Dexter felt her chest, her heart beating it reminded me of Dexter as a teen teetering over the edge of the building, feeling his chest, his own heart beating, actually feeling alive for once. And for him to actually share that moment with another human being....For the first time in his life. That's quite special. The energy, the electricity was just palpable in those last few scenes.
yeah, the dex+lumen scene was very well done, i really appreciate the way they've done it, it felt beautiful and natural

Episode was okay, previous episode was better, until the end. Dex and Lumen hooking up felt so unbelievably and completely forced. Lumen was raped, beaten, cut and I don't know what else. She had a panic attack from getting frisked. No way she would have sex this soon after all that. And Dexter so soon after Rita's death.... I don't believe it at all. The writers fucked up big time imo.
|
I liked the 10th episode and i can't wait for the finale. This show is just really great, except few plot-holes made lately.
+ Show Spoiler + I didn't really understand what was the thing about Emily. Was she the first rape victim of Jordan and his friends or she lied to Lumen? Why would she then talk to Jordan and why would Jordan say to her you are special blah blah.. So did he rape her and then tell her she is special beacause she showed him who he really is...a monster? It doesn't make sense to me. Could someone please elaborate on that?
|
I would have to disagree. There was no other way to end the episode other than dexter and lumen bonding (in every sense).
also we all know jordan chase is going to die, but does anyone else not want it to happen? I kind of like his character as opposed to other archrivals in the other seasons.
lastly, liddy needs to die.

After such an intense experience, the first thing they would want to do biologically speaking is shag the fuck out of each other. While i didn't like it, its certainly not forced ... its frustratingly realistic

Please someone confirm me that we will have a season 6... Only 2 more eps and I can't imagine it ending so soon :`(

This is spot on. So much (sexual) tension was built between them, which culminated in their forest co-murder. Releasing it afterwards was the natural response.
Btw does anyone else get turned off by julia styles? I find her utterly unattractive. It might be her butch face, or her anorexix build, or her small unappealing breasts, or her mannish figure. Whatever it is, she just doesn't do it for me

I'm predicting with the way things are going down AND from the previews, we may see Dexter killing Quinn.

Obviously she is not a normal person psychologically, which means it makes sense. You are assuming she (a fictional character I might add) thinks and acts like you do or how you think you would act in her situation.
Never assume other people think and act like you do because they don't, fictional or real.

Im relified...
"Dexter's executive producer Sara Colleton has promised that the fifth season finale is "big"."

You think that the damage that did somehow makes her more inclined to have sex? So because she's damaged, whatever the writers make her do makes sense? I think the writers are doing what they can to cater to the masses. And that includes casting a known (but not a good) actress and by the end of the season having a sex scene between her and the lead even if it doesn't make any sense.

This mean, another season yay!!!! When it's the last season, it'll probably be known beforehand and it will advertised as such.

But but Dexter likes damaged goods (like Rita). I was so expecting when this would happen :D

Pretty much everything you said I agree with.

I think she is attractive. I don't really find her acting to be believable though.

Wouldn't really suprise me if Liddy turns out rescuing them, since he keeps following them around, figuring out the whole picture and ends up as a "not so bad guy after all".

COULD WE PLEASE SPOILER BIG THINGS LIKE + Show Spoiler + For people who are still on season 3 or so.
