Intense and emotional acting from a lot of the cast, brilliant. + Show Spoiler + Anyone know what's going on between Batista and LaGuerta regarding their sleeping arrangements? Why would he be sleeping on the couch? I must have missed something. + Show Spoiler + Probably has to do with the fact that Laguerta screwed Debra to protect herself. And that doesn't sit well with Batista.

The one scene that really showcases my disdain for her acting skill is when she is talking to laguerta in episode 8 of this season and she says "fuckin think about it" she is just so god damn awful. They should recast her, I don't care of shes MCH's wife. That's not Julia Stiles you numbskull.

Liddy (libby?) w/e the name of the lone cop keeping tabs on Dexter clearly sees footage of him and Lumen participating in the killing of a person (stabbing on the table.) If this is one of the last scenes in the finale, then of course there'll be a sixth season; however, if this is in the next episode, I'd have to say it somehow wraps up pretty quickly as long as the cop presents it to homicide. The scene doesn't show them stabbing anybody. It's just Lumen practicing. I'm not really sure why she's doing that, but that's what she's doing.

Batista's sleeping on the couch because he's mad @ Laguerta for denying responsiblity for the club shooting and for pinning it on Deb.

Dexter was could not cope anymore with his life. It lost it meaning after Rita died because what Dexter did wrong even though he meant good. After killing random bar guy he got back his acceptance from his father, but something is still missing. Dexter can't get dark passenger satisfied even after killing Boyd Fowler. As it was with Rita, Lumen shows up to give some meaning to his life. Damaged goods and all. So Dexter tries to get rid of her but she insist hunting rest of the guys. Slowly Dexter starts trusting Lumen and sees dark passenger inside her too. Dexter has finally partner he can trust. They kill another member of barrel murderers. While doing death ritual Dexter says "Its a shame that you can only die once" and kills Cole, finally satisfying dark passenger needs.

+ Show Spoiler + Getting involved with Lumen, Liddy having suggestive video/audio footage... But I do wonder why Jordan is helping Dexter... I mean he convinced the girl to tell Dexter "the truth" and then called Deb to tell her that guy was a flight risk, therefore leaving his disappearance clear of suspicion...

The flight risk thing seemed to be more to get the detectives to hurry than to erase suspicion of his disappearance. As for Dexter getting involved with Julia Stiles (lol), I can't say that's a good decision and I'm not sure why he isn't more careful. Maybe it's unreasonable of him to expect that any room he occupies will be mic'd and camera'd, idk (no sarcasm).

Great episode, there were some very tense moments. + Show Spoiler + I think Jordan Chase called Deb to say the guy was a flight risk because he wanted Deb to come and catch Dexter in the act of killing Alex. Dexter wouldn't have gone to kill Alex if Emily hadn't told Lumen the truth (his identity). Chase saw Dexter enter the house but left immediately after making the call. Deb came to Alex's house during the kill but they had taken him next door to kill him. Everything Chase has done has been with the intention of Dexter getting caught in the act. That is what I thought happened at least.

The finale is gonna end with Deb finding out about Dex. They keep dropping little hints about Deb not feeling bad about shooting that guy, about her wanting to kill the guys responsible for the barrel girl murders. They're making it easier for her character to understand why Dexter does what he does so when she does find out she'll be more understanding.

Right now, there’s no word on whether Lumen will return for season 6. “Sorry, but it’s just too soon to reveal something that juicy. If we told you that, it may ruin the rest of the season...” E! says, very cryptically. Interview from E! online, she may be killed, but who knows?

i think deb is going to come to the conclusion that lumen is doing it, as she has already begun collecting evidence here and there (ie: shoe print, etc). I think she may look the other way because she knows that lumen was a victim and she understands why she's doing it. I don't think she'll know dexter had anything to do with it.

This. ^ Although both Deb and Quinn know Lumen is connected with Dexter. Quinn through Liddy's info and Deb from seeing her in dexter's old house.

If Deb really does find Lumen, I'm thinking she very well might let her go. She'll see that shes connected to Dexter and after what she's been though she'll feel sorry for her. I really don't see this ending with Lumen getting arrested, not by Deb anyway.

Yeah they portray her as too emotional about the situation to turn them in. I think quinn will go to jail for killing the PI. He will protect dexter.

+ Show Spoiler + Cut to the end of the last episode. Dexter and Lumen have Jordan on the table in an office somewhere, but they are unaware that they are being taped by Liddy who will have all the evidence needed to turn both of them in for life after this. The cops are on their way as well after getting some info that something is going to happen. Shit goes down as usual and they kill Jordan (let's say that Emily is still on the loose for something interesting in S6 because she's obviously psycho or being manipulated to a huge extent by Chase). Liddy is about to start packing his stuff when a gun appears behind him and he gets shot in the head and dies. Skip ahead a little bit and Dexter and Lumen are cleaning the room and packing the body when they hear a sound in the hallway. Dexter goes to check it out with a knife in hand only to find Cpt Matthews waiting for him. Yep, he just killed Liddy and has known all along that Dexter was a killer (because he helped Harry raise him from behind the scenes) and it's revealed through some flashbacks that he has been helping Dexter out from behind the scenes when he could by giving orders to LaGuerta that would benefit Dexter whenever Dexter has been close to being caught. The cops had gotten orders for a different crime scene and won't be coming here any time soon, unaware that this is taking place. Matthews tells Dexter he's never been so sloppy before and that Lumen is destroying everything he has worked for by clouding his judgement. Finally, he orders Dexter to kill Lumen if he wants to stay in liberty. Dexter looks confused and is struggling to understand what he needs to do. Cpt Matthew leaves and says : "Make it look like she killed herself after killing Chase.". Cue to a bit later and we see homicide about to enter the room where Chase was killed. Season ends. Ok so maybe a bit streched but I dontt believe for a second that Matthews doesn't know about Dexter. First his relation with Harry, second Dexter should've been caught several times before and this could be a "plot hole remover" and finally Dexter is always looking up stuff about his victims on his work computer and I can only assume Matthews has access to everything Dexter does on it. He always seems like a hardass and someone that would justify the use of Dexter's methods for taking care of killers. We also rarely see Matthews so technically he would have the time and spot to help Dexter however he wants to.
