Or maybe Dexter isn't a shitty show where they actually bring in real actors instead of extra staff who's just there to fill in. But what do I know. :-)

Some guys on IMDB speculated that the way her scenes are shot are similar to season 1's scenes with Rudy (Ice Truck killer).. At the same time I think producers of the show are 'metagaming' themselves as well and nanny may just be someone random and not important just to screw with all the 'smartasses'. I do believe she will play some sort of role though.Finding out about Dexter and having to keep his secret or something would be interesting
Dexter is slowly becoming my number 1 show. The greatness of Dexter is that you can't decide for yourself how the story should evolve. With most series it is obvious where the show is heading. Most shows are about 1) solving a mystery in 1 episode OR 2) Inject as many jokes as possible in 1 episode. Shows that tell a story over multiple episodes mostly have a set goal from the first episode, ex. Escape the prison, Leave the island, figure out what the flashforwards mean, etc.
But Dexter is open, it's a big story and you don't know where you are going.

Sincerely hope not, because this is one of the best shows ever created

I dunno, all good things must come to an end. I'd rather Dexter have an epic ending rather than drag out for 100 seasons with half of them being mediocre.
Yeah I highly doubt this will be the last season. Producers have said that they have a lot of plans for Dexter's future as a father, and this season won't even begin to cover it. The show is still popular and the producers are still ambitious; I just hope they don't drag it on too long (*coughLostcough*).
I'm very, very confused how everyone seems to suddenly think season 4 was amazing. Yes, the final twist was mindblowingly awesome, but apart from the Dexter - Lithgow relationship, I found the whole season pretty lackluster. And if you go back and read the comments during season 4, most people didn't find it that great either.
I'm liking this season much more than last. The Lumen girl isn't an amazing actor, but I think the story with Dexter and her has a lot of potential.
I'm gonna go with the whole "Anyone who is not Deb and gets close to Dexter dies" theory with the babysitter and he'll be like "Oh... dang it happened again."
Thoughts on Episode 8? It didn't have as much impact on me as I thought it would. I thought this was the episode where I'd finally feel some suspense, however it felt very lacking. At least this episode provided a couple of interesting questions:
What are Batista and Deb gonna do to screw Laguerta over? and What's gonna happen with that guy that Quinn hired to spy on Dexter? Will he be able to report everything to Quinn before Dexter kills him?

He shows the pictures to quinn. Then, jordan notices his blood vial missing some blood. Then, people breaking in to dexters old house, with lumen inside.
Episode 8: I'm gonna be disappointed if Quinn doesn't think about Dexter being the Bay Harbor Butcher. Dexter has some time to deal with Quinn because Quinn can't tell anyone without admitting he is stalking Dexter and accusing him of being a serial killer without very much proof. Quinn is a dectective and he knows he has to build a case before he accuses Dexter of anything. The Quinn problem is now at a point of no return so he needs to die or maybe they could go in a new direction with the show, which would be risky. I'm gonna be so pissed if Lumen kills Quinn the same way Lila killed Doakes.
I have a feeling the person shown breaking in on Lumen is just some random robbery shotime is putting in to trick us like they do every other "Next time".
