So, at first I thought this was a dumb and they weren't gonna mention it and just gloss over a lot of evidence and issues of how the kill went down. Then the dude steals Deb's gun in episode 2 and it get put in evidence, I figure okay I was wrong. Wow is it gonna come out that Deb shot Laguerta??! Nope, they totally forgot about that and were worried about something else. I love Dexter but I can't help thinking that everything has been too easy recently, unplanned heat of the moment kills and bad situations are easily resolved with bullshit and lies even when there is obvious evidence. And you weren't at all fussed about Dexter killing Lila in Paris or killing that gangster guy in the airport? Because that was way less believable to me tbh. The airport killing was surreal. So many impossible moving pieces in that one, I was just like "alright screw it, this show has officially driven off of a cliff." To be fair, Dexter isn't really the show to watch if you're looking for consistent, painstakingly realistic and great writing like The Wire. It gets really cartoony at times. To be fair, thats a recent phenomenon and a reason people bitch...

Inb4 Vogul is Dexter's real mom.

Oh boy.. now dexter apparently needed a mother figure all his life... well i could start bitching about it... but i choose not to... :D

so unless something hugely unexpected happens it seems clear that the end of season/show 'twist' will be along the lines that vogul actually created the monster in dexter, that although he was a troubled boy she molded him in to a killer, and he wasnt her only project. she will turn out to be responsible for a number of serial killers. dexter will demand she stops and she will refuse, so dexter will kill her.
whether dexter dies or goes to prison or just leaves town at the end is still up in the air, but my guess would be that in reference to last seasons scenes, he will once again go get his stashed bag left hidden at the airport and leave. leaving the door open for spin offs or future seasons if they get desperate.

God damn it can we not talk about previews?

Watching previews of ANYTHING is the DUMBEST THING you can do imo....
If you know you're going to watch it, why spoil even the tiniest scene? I understand watching a movie preview if it's not like the next Star Wars or a famous director because you might not be sure if you want to see the film, but when you're watching something like Dexter or GoT or whatever, why the fuck would you want to see anything about what happens next week?
There's literally NO chance that I'm not going to watch the next episode... watching a preview of something I know for certain I'm going to watch is something I absolutely never do, when I'm in the cinema and they should me previews of the FILM I'M ABOUT TO WATCH I want to burn the theater to the ground!
+ Show Spoiler +What I actually do is put my fingers in my ears and close my eyes and look stupid for a few moments

I disagree. Snippets of footage from a larger piece that I'm going to watch in it's entirely only serves to detract from my enjoyment, it doesn't matter if major plot twists are not revealed, it's still stuff I'm going to watch and would like to do so properly without having seen bits of it already.
Liking this season so far though, so many possibilities with this old lady... is she his mother? is she a killer? is she simply an unorthodox (to say the least) psychiatrist? I hope Dexter lives happily ever after with Deb but that's probably not going to happen lol.

For some reason I think Vogul is the person behind the killings. She is lying to dexter about the brain sections being sent to her house and the breakin. For what I do not know, but she is very shady.

Two episodes in and this is already better than the last few seasons IMO. Decent Debs development as well.

Apparently Deb killed El Sapo. However, he took her gun in the storage building. How did she have a gun to shoot him in the parking lot? She doesn't seem to remember doing it... and I'm guessing that's because she didn't.

I can't rule this out, but it doesn't seem like the most likely scenario to me. Why are you more sure she had a second gun (which I didn't see any mention of) than that she didn't do it? We don't actually see her do it, and those pseudo-flashes of the event could be a misdirection. Unless I am missing something (I only saw the episode once).
edit: this response applies similarly to the poster below me...

Dexter: I found your blood at the crime scene. Deb: Fuck... Dexter: Tell me what happened. *silence* Talk to me Deb! Deb: I don't know what happened, alright? I'm a little fucking fuzzy on it... I was angry, I wanted the jewels back and the next thing I know I'm standing over a dead body. _____________________________________________________________________________________ I was wondering about her gun being in the car myself and where she got the other gun from, I'm surprised Dexter didn't ask her himself and I was waiting for him to do so so they could get rid of the gun or clean it or whatever.
She's basically admitting to killing El Sapo in this scene though so unless it's really fucking devious misdirection from the writers and it was actually Vogul or something weird then I think it was Deb and they just didn't bother addressing the whole 2nd gun thing.

The blood can easily be explained as coming for El Sapo beating her in the fight.

I also like how there was just a single droplet of Deb's blood on the car, which Dexter just so happened to find lol.
