I don't understand why dexter wouldn't kill hannah but rather turn her in. Better closure, pick it up from where he left off, and she knows what he is.. so i think that just maybe, maybe, maybe, she might turn against dexter when she's in prison cause of him.

![]() At first I'd agree that it's plausible that Deb poisoned herself, but that's a pretty dangerous way to go about it. You really think she poisoned herself knowing that she was going to be driving and could potentially kill someone (or herself)? I could see her setting up Hannah, but not doing it that carelessly. Also, Dexter did find Hannah's hair in Debs house too. I really doubt he actually dragged that in with him. And holy shit, LaGuerta setting up Dexter was pretty sneaky. Was kind of a long shot, but I suppose she didn't find Doake's supposed harbor until after she had that dude set up for release.

I'd imagine the next season of Dexter will be the last. Can't imagine it going beyond an 8th season with the way this has gone. It just feels like they're trying to touch on too much at once this season, likely to try and get proper closure before closing it out for good. About time Hanna chick goes away, i think unless she spills the beans for the last episode. I've seriously wondered how Quinn has survived this long, lol. He seems like such a shit cop that consistently is involved with some questionable side plot. He's just annoying at this point, it's like: "h'okay how's Quinn going to fuck things up this season..." Also, trade Deb for Hannah <3

I had a feeling at this point she did it to herself just to convince Dexter.

It doesn't really make that much sense for her to poison herself. She could have died. I don't think Deb would risk killing herself when she had a solid lead on Hannah. It doesn't add up. It's pretty clear that Hannah has to be guilty to me. Which is unfortunate, because it seems to me that Hannah should be smarter than that. Which makes me think that maybe Deb did stage it... but again, I have to reject that conclusion because it's too risky. I can't see Deb killing herself just to get Hannah. Honestly, neither scenario seems very plausible to me. They did it to advance the plot. Hannah had to know that if she made a move on Deb, Dexter would find out. He knows how she operates. So why would she do that? This whole episode makes very little sense to me.

I'm surprised of the number of people in here that are riding the Hannah fan train. I honestly hated that character from the very beginning and I always found her fake and manipulative.

And if she knows how to put fake evidence on Doaks, why not on Hanna ?

If Deb were to die from poison it would be pretty obvious who the culprit was, Hannah, and she would have to realize that Dexter would easily catch on that she did it. However, Dexter probably trusts that his sister wouldn't try to frame Hannah. It is important to note that Debra wouldn't feel bad about breaking Dexter's trust considering he kept his true identity (as the bay harbor butcher) a secret for many years thus already breaking her trust. Ultimately I think Debra was the one who planted the poison and then crashed her vehicle to make it look like Hannah poisoned her. Her motives are there (protecting her brother).

And i think it could fit better, Debra has the talk with hannah, she gets pissed, probally knowing that hannah isnt afraid of her friend spilling the beans. Debra gets desperate and crushes pills in her water drinks it, and crashes. Not to mention that hannah would have to sneak in find the drugs (with debra most likely in the house), open the car find the bottle, crush the pills, poison the water. She could have gotten the drugs when debra was at work, but id imageing that debra would have locked the car...ohh wait she dosnt even lock her house properly ( which i i find pretty odd since she is a LT with teh FKING police force). The more i think about it the more it adds up to be debra protecting her brother.

The doctor found the substance that she was using on her stomach (triple her daily dose). I believe Debra did it to herself. She is getting sort of crazy and psychotic, like her brother. Personally, I think its dumb for the writers to do that to her.
