Unlike Rock Lee, Gai did not have a birth defect making it impossible for him to ever learn ninjutsu.

how about if goku and the z fighters just come in cuz of some space time continuum mix up, naruto and goku do a fusion jutsu and do a combined spirit bomb giant rasengan thing, and then they leave again except gohan's family cuz he wants to study chakra, and naruto leaves for the other dbz world and becomes the martial arts champion there (which equals hokage) and goku becomes hokage :D

I still believe the 4th hokage will finish off Madara, even without arms. The last blow will redeem everything that's happened to him so far. I have no idea how madara will reach obito in the other dimension but it probably has to do with the black zetsu. It could be that madara will take kakashi's eye and use that power.
I would so laugh if Madara was killed by a kunai. I guess Minato's job is to take some deadly blow for of his son, have a dramatic "dead again" scene with another flashback.
That aside i am not sure if Kishi noticed this, but he created the dragon-balls (aka no permanent death). They (Kabuto or Oro, mb Sasuke or Suigetsu cause they read the scroll) can just edo tensei Nagato and he can rezz people.
I still believe that Kishi didnt notice though and say that if we see another big rezz, it will come from Sasuke to redeem his char. His chances to become Hokage and rebuild his clan are next to zero anyways and he can "entrust" everything to Naruto at the end. I (hopefully) doubt that we see another big rezz though.

I think the difference is that the other people used techniques with fancy names which remind everyone of magic, while Gai may have names for techniques but he is still kicking and punching people.
Also in contrast to everyone Gai has to ensure his own death so he can be this strong during his death throes.
If it wasn't worth it, he wouldn't kill himself by doing this.

That was one of the bad parts that kishi pursued for god knows what reason but i am not the author so whatever.
Gai is supposed to just a high level ninja not the 3rd Raikage Level of Ninja. I hate how kishi just makes every single ninja almost on the same level right now. And Gai using 8 gate scratching the most powerful form in the entire narutoverse while tailed beast form. But naruto is already ridiculous lately so whatever.

It's not fair to say that 8 gates = tailed beast power, because it's a temporary spike in power, and then you're dead. Also, it's a different kind of power, taijutsu, as opposed to the masses of chakra and ninjutsu(tailed beast bomb) that the beasts are, that power is easily deflected or absorbed by the 6-paths power. Taijutsu could also be blocked by forming a shield, but Gai might be too fast in this state. But you're probably closed off to the idea of buying it at this point, so w/e.

Something I've noticed when rereading the chuunin exams. Kakashi says that opening the 8 gates gives you power greater to that of the hokage who was Hiruzen at the time. Now he was said to be the strongest Hokage (was given the same titles as hashi etc. Raikage said he was the strongest Kage even in old age. This would make him the strongest person other than the SO6P) ever which would put him above that of hashi and Madara.
So in theory given what was stated in that early part of the manga the 8 gates would put Gai at a level where he could in fact go toe to toe with or even overwhelm Madara if my comprehension is correct.

It's pretty sketchy to measure how strong the 8 gates will be just because of what Kakashi said way back when, once it's paired up with ambiguous, and probably incorrect, ideas of the power of the differing Hokage. It's much simpler to just say given the context of the story, this is a stall tactic, it may injure Madara, maybe piss him off some too, but there's no way this is going anywhere. It's like the moments before Ichigo showed up against Aizen, more or less. The normal people need to step aside so the Gods can play their little game.

In Bleach Aizen did not kill Ichigo. I'm pretty sure every character that matters already fought against Madara and got their asses handed to them.

The ending is simple guys. Sasuke and Naruto fight but they can't overcome their love of each other so they start making out instead. Then right in front of everyone they start doing the dirty, screaming "narutooooooooo" and "sasukeeeeeeeeeee". Once that's done, they get married and become the two rulers of the shinobi alliance. Sasuke eventually gets pregnant with a child who becomes the new sage of six paths because he has both aspects: the eyes and the body. The new sage and his future children rule the world and everyone is happy.
