Why would he have to use Izanagi to generate an illusion? Since it's a conspiracy theory, all that had to happen was Obito dodges the rock, creates an illusion for his two partners to see him crushed under a rock, much like kakashi showed a dying bleeding sasuke to sakura early on. I'm not saying it's what I think happened, but it is possible because of the ridiculous nature of illusions in this manga. | ||

Tobi ≠ Obito. Tobi = Tobirama He invented the Edo Tesei, was very skilled in Space-Time ninjutu, is dead so wanted the Rinne Tensei for himself and we've already seen that anybody can take a sharingan. Also Tobirama. To be clear I know that it's not Tobirama, but the clues that everybody is finding points more towards him than Obito. | ||
