Maturation isn't binary. It's not like there's whiny-kid-mode and always-right-about-everything mode and that's it. I seem to remember Naruto completely giving up hope and accepting his fate before Hinata stepped in. Then he lost control and gave in to the Kyuubi... and gave in again... and continued giving in until Minato intervened. His resolve changes, quite realistically, depending on the situation. Hell, I would say the results of the Pain fight are completely responsible for his mindset right now. Pain single-handedly killed Jiraiya, Kakashi, and the elder frog guy, disabled Tsunade, and wiped out all of Konoha... then Naruto single-handedly defeated Pain and became a legend. Of course he's going to feel responsible for protecting everyone. He swore he would become strong enough to bear the brunt of everyone's pain, but now he's beginning to realize that no single human being can accomplish that. | ||

Ehm, dont forget about the 4th hokage & even the little kid that naruto taught rasengan to. You never know if Kabuto found the 4th body. | ||

Orochimary already summoned the 4th once, when he was fighting sarutobi. but sarutobi trew some knifes at his coffin so the jutsu didnt work. Now the only question is if he can revive ppl more then once, i believe not cuz we havent seen the 1st and 2nd hokage either. i have no idea who his trumbcard is but the one joining the fight in the end of the chapter is probably konohamaru (no idea how you spell his name ^^) or a zetsu clone in the form of naruto. it cant be kakashi and jiraya cuz they always wear gloves. | ||

I doubt knives alone are enough to stop a coffin. I believe it was a failed summon to begin with. In any case, you'll never see any of the previous Hokages again. All were sealed by the death god seal and cannot be revived by the Impure World Resurrection jutsu. I will facepalm if Kabuto somehow manages to revive people not from the pure world. | ||
