There are three powers associated with mangekyou; Tsukuyomi, Ametarasu, and Susano. The tomoe in the eyes look different but the powers are the same. The exception being Kakashi for some so far unexplained reason. Sasuke can use Ametarasu. The first time he used it was from Itachi's implanted version. But he gains his own mangekyou and can then use Ametarasu. Itachi's eyes being implanted into Sasuke just means that his eyesight won't fade with use. | ||

But now that Itachi's eyes were implanted into Sasuke to make the perfect Mangakyou i'm guessing sasuke will never have the need to find out what his original pair of mangakyou do. I thought sasukes power was being able to extinguish amateratsu | ||

only itachi and sasuke can use amateratsu, Tobi can't use it, Kakashi can't use it, Danzo can't use it with all his eyes. In fact, tobi's eye and kakashi's eye both has some kind of dimensional warping power, and Danzo's eye takes control of someone else' mind. @Tabbris You are right, one of Sasuke's eye can put out Amateratsu, I think that's what Itachi implanted into naruto, If i remember right, it's the same eye that has Tsukuyomi. | ||
