Izanagi it's pretty much like a cheat code. It turns dreams into reality so all he had to do was imagine himself whole again when using it and there you go body back together again, but at least it costs him an eye to do so.

This story would be so much better if there were no eye powers  . Eye powers are so stupid... Izanagi being by far the biggest offender. And I used to think the Sharigan looked BAD ASS. Sigh. It's just too ridic OP now tho. It was cool when Neji and Sasuke were using eye powers as some elite power, but not overwhelming.
Izanagi is way too BS. And I still don't buy that fight with Danzou. No ninja just wastes lives the way he did. He was throwing em away left and right to a fked up Sasuke. You'd think a master ninja like him would have been a lot more canny about avoiding death. The way he was fighting made it seem like Danzou routinely used that technique to "scout out powers." Why the hell wouldn't he just use Kage Bunshins for that? He really needed to waste a ridiculously rare technique like Izanagi to do what Naruto does in every single fight? I don't buy it. I don't ever buy any of the fights that involve eye powers because all the powers are ridic, and then the only way they ever use is by horribly underutilizing their eyes.

Is that really how it works? Why wouldn't an Izanagi user just dream that he had god-like powers and own everyone? Or dream that he had 1,000 eyes, and then dream all his opponents were dead?

Because Cpt Plothole would come and kick his arse. I should add before someone comes and rages at me that it only affects the user and can't be used on others. So you can't for example imagine someone else impaled and it will happen.

Has the EMS of madara ever been shown outside of that flashback with his brother? I don't think so. And i don't think the eye that used Izanagi was Madara's EMS eye either. I think Madara absorbed the 1st hokage, which somehow changed his EMS into the Rinnegan.

I felt the same, the entire story with Naruto and Pain and Jiraiya has been incredibly good and imo the best in Naruto and amongst the best stories in any major shounen manga. Really sad that it ended this way and actually for the first time really dislike the villain for doing this.

I feel like Izanagi is limited by the person's ability to envision things accurately, like genjutsu. It's impossible to imagine god-like powers especially in the heat of battle - sure you might get some pieces of it, like super strength for a punch or flight or regenerate a limb, but it's not completely free.

He could have just used one of Sasukes eyes couldn't he since he is now sporting Itachis. Sharingan and Rinnegan isn't related you can't just change them for the sake of it, you can combine them if you have two but you can't just go around and swap.

my guess is less about the izanagi used to regenerate his body and more of using the rinnegan's power of life/death to restore his own body since it was lost recently. Not sure though.

Mostly the picture with them combined that's sort of the clue that it can be done. Also I clearly remember it being stated by Sasuke that he was going blind and had terrible eye-sight but never that he was completly blind, please do correct me if I'm wrong. The only rule for Izanagi atm is that it makes the user blind and that you can only use it once per eye, never mentions in what state the eyes needs to be in.

While we are talking about stuff we can not understand what the hell was up with the comment from Madara when he took the eyes.
He said "Look at you, you overexerted your powers so much so that the Uzumaki clan's trademark red hair turned snow white."
So why doesn't this make any sense. Right of the bat:
Nagato had black hair not red.
Nagatos hair has obviously turned white.
Yahiko had red hair so perhaps he was talking about him? Well no, because he is actually shown looking in the opposite direction of Yahikos corpse.
If he was talking about Yahiko, then why? If both Nagato and his realms all turned white haired why would he comment on Yahikos, one of the puppet corpses? Makes no sense.
Can someone explain this shiat.
Edit: Hah! I found the explanation myself, apperntly he does have red hair they just fucked it up in one of the Animé episodes which happened to be one I used to confirm that he did have black hair. Sometimes you make a twat out of yourself.

Indeed i dug a bit deeper and it seems they just borked it abit in the first time his true form is shown in the animé. It's still freaking weird since Narutos mother is supposed to have the trademark hair of her clan and she isn't depicted as having black hair in the manga so don't hit me to hard.
