The mask has 3 holes in it. He used one of the sharingans for izanagi. Therefore 2 sharingan -1 sharingan + 2 rinnegan = 1 sharingan (his right), 2 rinnegan (left and top). Also note how they are shaped in that small flickering flame/upside down teardrop shape, same as the necklace of the SoSP. | ||

However I think he'll have the Sharingan up on his forehead so he can pull a hidden Izanagi from a fatal attack. Would be weird if he uses Izanagi and then has one rinnegan in his sockets and one on his forehead. =P Also, I'm pretty sure the design for the mask is just a combination of a level 3 Sharingan and Rinnegan overlayed. | ||

It could be to hide his face to prevent people from knowing his identity...hiding his eyes or maybe the mask has something special and maybe grants some kind of power..idk. It hasn't been fully specified why it is even there..disguising himself seems to be most probable reason. | ||

when konan's bloodstained paper fell on top of her card... i actually was surprised, i actually felt something for this manga again. I was actually sad to see that everyone from that hut died... kinda sucks, why did everyone have to die? also, does anyone know how the heck Madara is regenerating his body??? Cuz he definitely lost an arm against Konan before. sigh to be honest... this chapter made me somewhat interested in Naruto again. Hope it doesn't end up like Bleach later... | ||
