I think everyone is panicking, worried the ending will be complete garbage. The Frieza foreshadowing makes me think he is somehow involved. They basically jobbed the shit out of him by having golden angry frieza get 1 shotted. So it's not like he's strong at all. I can't imagine he's got a transformation in his pocket. So we know Frieza has some bullshit going on. My hope at this point is that Goku attains straight up UI, is crowned the strongest in the multiverse, goes off to train with the grand priest to one day be an angel, other universes are ressurected. Next Dragonball series is based on U6/U7 basically doing GT right. GT was a really good idea. I want it done better. | ||

Not like you can be elected to become a God of Destruction? Aren't the angels all siblings that were created outside of the universes, which is why they don't disappear when universes are deleted? | ||

Yeah, from what we know, the grandpriest is all of their father. As to what the fuck that actually means for being that transcend universal existence...fuck if I know. Or something. I dunno. But point being, I actually do see some value in Goku going on to be some transcendent badass. One scenario I enjoy is one where a new universe is formed from the erased universes and Goku is REQUIRED to be the GoD in order to justify their resurrection. I dunno. | ||

I think as much as I dont like End of Z they want to get there and retcon as little as possible. In EoZ we know a couple of things: Goku hasnt seen the rest for a while (they said 5 years i think but that has been retconned), theres been peace since Majin buu. The second part is exactly why nothing really of note has been happened in super. We got Berus but he was on earth like half a day, and Freezer that even thought he brought his army, and did kill piccolo and gohan, the only reason he did anything was because goku and vegeta weren't on earth, and again he was kiled honestly very easy. I see RoF more as training than anything else. Appart from that we got the tournament with U6, which didnt affect the earth, the future trunks arc, which again didnt affect our earth, and now the Tournament of power, which altough could erase the universe is not like a war or a direct threat its more...indirect. However they are limited in the sense that a big baddie can't come to earth and terrorize it for days and kill half the population like Buu did. So I think that's why they are ending super, to go past EoZ, and while they figure out what to do next. My personal theory is that goku will "master UI" this arc in the sense that he will be able to use the "offense" part of UI, but won't really be able to go UI at will or use it to it's full potential. So he will go to train with Whis, that's why he hasn't seen bulma for a while. Then EoZ happens, and since goku is so OP now, leaving to train Uub is a great opportunity to explore other characters, with occassional appareances of Goku training him and stuff. Vegeta Gohan and adult trunks (which is very cool) go on adventurs and do stuff, then Uub becomes GoD and Goku becomes the strongest from the multiverse and Vegetta gets jobbed again. The end. | ||

Tournament of power finally started in the manga. Really liking how they chose to start it off. It is interesting to see that they are completely changing the order in which people are ringed out. | ||

So the dude who has the suit that makes him faster or stronger or whatever got taken out at the same time as some other fighter. Hopefully this means Ribrianne will be given similar treatment. If they have her transform multiple times in the manga, I am going to be really sad. | ||

The manga fight is progressing remarkably quickly. The yard rat and reflecting dude were actual threats rather than small fry in the anime. And of course the black guy gets booted first, lol. | ||
