Maybe some time after this tournament, Vegeta and Goku are told they are now at a level where they can feasibly train with Beerus without dying. Vegeta is stoked and insists on going first. During the fight, Whis kinda squints his eyes as he is surprised by how well Vegeta is doing. He begins to wonder and then tests the waters: "Vegeta. Beerus is the one who instructed Freeza to destroy your planet". Vegeta is stunned and demands Beerus confirm, which he does. Vegeta super rages into perhaps a Kale'esque form and downright fucking kills Beerus, taking Kaioshin with him. He wakes up from it as GoD. Gohan somehow appointed new Kaioshin.
