I think your forgetting that he's the PRINCE OF ZAHARD, you know all those nuts girls like Androssi and Anak super strong girls said to have more potentiel then Koon according to there cards from SIU. Not to mention there was foreshadowing of the people of the Tower waiting for the birth of the PRINCE OF ZAHARD. He's going to be super important to the story.

I'm 99% certain Wangnam is going to be instrumental in the later stages of the story. He is almost certainly the Prince of Zahard, and I bet he has some untapped potential power that is simply not in the proper stages to be used. His name alone implies he is royalty (Wangnam backwards in Korea is "I'm a king"), and having that ring with the Zahard insignia adds to this.

I agree wholeheartedly, but if we don't get a Viole vs Androssi fight at the Gongbang I will be... moderately disappointed.

Like originally the whole thing was supposed to be a lot darker but he already made the tonal switch. So it's not about to become lighter in nature, he's just talking about how his original plans for the comic changed. I was thinking more about stuff like Ho's storyline, and the way it was handled. It put a bit more focus on the "harsh reality" compared to just saying "kill each other" and then it's implied a bunch of people died (I'm not saying that it doesn't work, just that more direct stuff like Ho's I felt gave a bigger impact).

Probably one of the worst things you can do as a writer. Compromise your artistic vision for the sake of crowd-pleasing. It invariably waters down and destroys the very reasons people liked your work in the first place.

We have had more disturbing murder scenes in season 2, I think both Nia and Gyetang's were more hardcore than any of the deaths in season 1.

But the thing about part 1 was all the deaths were seen as just routine. It's like you can easily die at any time and no one really cares because that's just how brutal the tower is.

I think she was ordered by FUG or some1 else to push Baam. Obv Baam wasn't going to die because Fug needed Baam in their plans. Rachel didn't kill Dan either, even though she had a chance. There has to be some other deeper reason as to why Rachel is doing the things she is doing. And Rachel didn't kill the chickie either, the member of FUG did. Being so sadistic that you maim someone instead of killing them? Yeah, she is a peach for sure.

I wouldn't put it past SIU to create that twist. Would make a lot of sense. The maiming thing is a valid point, but it's also easily retroed. All he has to do is have Dan miraculously heal, then it's revealed that Rachel's wounds weren't actually critical, but were designed to allow Dan to recover. She just had to do it for appearance's sake for FUG etc. Not saying that's what happened, but I could see the possibility.

So essentially the death rate drops significantly after the initial filter. Also, I don't think it's gotten any less "dark". The fact Rachel let Dan live, but took away his ability to run fast is far more brooding and dark than if she were to straight up kill him.
