Rumor has it that at the top of the tower, you can have anything you want so there is no shortage of individuals trying to climb the tower. Unfortunately, no one has been able to pass the 135th floor of the Tower. Many strong individuals have passed the test and reached the 134th floor, earning the title of "Ranker." These are the highly gifted individuals. But even amongst these, the top 1% of the Rankers are known as High-rankers. Most of the High-Rankers are people directly associated with Zahard's comrades, the 10 Great Families. However, every now and then, an anamoly appears and an individual is able to enter the Tower on his own without being chosen by a Guardian. Two such known figures are Phantaminum and Enryu who are so strong that they are ranked higher than Zahard himself. In fact, Enryu was the one who killed a Guardian, a feat previously thought impossible. Thus begins the story of Baam, an irregular, as he begins his ascension. For him, he climbs the tower merely because he is chasing after his friend. The rest is history... How do you know all these? I read this to the most recent chapter, I saw no mention of someone killed a guardian, nor they are stronger than zahard. | ||

It's in the author's blog. He briefly touches upon how strong all the characters are in comparison to one another and their potential for growth. He also talks about characters not mentioned in the story so far such as several important irregulars. | ||

Idk, I'm gonna miss my old turtles, my lizard and my gator and this arc doesn't have me wanting for more, I just get disappointed where there isn't a page of the old story because the story of amazingly talented and timid Baam was interesting frm the get-go. This new thing kills off everyone ala gantz and doesn't even keep 1 of the main cast.. sheesh | ||

It took Urek 50 years to climb the tower and reach ranker status. And he has the fastest record of climbing the tower the regular way. It's only been five years for Baam. | ||

The other irregulars are really interesting since they're mostly mentioned in SIU's blog as opposed to the story, but I'm sure at least one will make an appearance at one point. That should be fun. | ||
