No, this is not a joke/trolling thread. We don't need more filler posts asking if it is. Remember to spoiler season 6 content, and clearly label your spoilers.

![]() This project is so awesome it probably deserve it's own thread. I present you Fighting is Magic. It's a clip of the alpha. Sadly the developers, Mane6, is pretty secretive as this preview is the only available video. Although They have revealed some work-in-progress animations and backgrounds on their website. For a fanmade game, the production value is amazing. Some of you might know the compositor of the song in this preview; Rainbowcrash88 ![]() - www.mane6.com ![]() - FAQ ![]() ![]()

Really good blog from a Game Designer from Naughty Dog about My little pony. One of my favorite reads about it.

I love this show myself, and like so many others Ponycraft 2 was what convinced me to watch it, after some previous urging from my boyfriend and bumping into a few threads mentioning how it was surprisingly good. What draws me in most is how much I like all the characters. After that it's the sheer amount of fun the animation team threw in with ridiculous expressions, cartoon physics, and good clean humor. Good examples of this are the opening of episode 21 on the train, or just about anything in episode 25 after the first few minutes. It doesn't rely on characters being stupid or immature to make the humor work, and that's a huge breath of fresh air. Probably my favorite cartoon since Avatar: The Last Airbender. Most people who only try the pilot episodes don't like them much, though. Going back and rewatching them, they are just objectively not as good--you meet pretty one-dimensional characters in episode 1 (this is completely remedied later) and episode 2 is just full of cliches. The show doesn't hit its stride until it switches to the character-centric formula in later episodes. Episode 7 on present a much higher level of quality, and the show just gets better with a few notable exceptions as the season goes on.

I saw the first 4 episodes out of curiosity from it's publicity before i got bored of it. To be honest, I think it would be less widely loved by males if it wasn't about something so girly.

On a side note, I'm staring to understand even more how elderly people can look back and go "wtf happened..." when they look at the society they currently live in. Not that there is anything wrong with this (... I think), but the transparency of the internet an the way our culture is quickly becoming more acceptable of many things, makes these "interesting interests" harder and harder to keep up with. I get this feeling in 4 years when I turn 30 I am just going to have absolutely no idea where the hell some of these interests and things came from. Still, interesting nonetheless.

This is honestly the only cartoon I've watched in like 4-5 years. Closest thing to cartoons I've watched semi-frequently would be anime, and theres a world of difference.

I don't like any kids shows, period. I barely consider MLP:FIM as a kids show, since it's so entertaining to adults also. It's more of an E for everyone type of thing, like a Miyazaki film. Not JUST centered on kids, because some kids won't get references they make at all. Oh, horseapples! I also haven't liked a cartoon here in the US for about 8 good years, and this finally broke that tragic dry-spell for me.

I'm pretty sure that most people know what you're talking about. You should know that you're wrong. I haven't gotten sucked in yet, but I have seen a few episodes and I can understand why people really like it. What I don't understand is some of the smugness and derision expressed by people in this thread. I find the idea of grown men enjoying what is supposed to be a children's show pretty hilarious and heartwarming.
