No, this is not a joke/trolling thread. We don't need more filler posts asking if it is.

While I was waiting in front of the surgery room, my heart was beating heavily and was extremely nervous and scared, so I tried to think of this show, and as adorkable and cute the other ponies are, in the end what calmed me down and even made me smile a bit was imagining AJ saying stuff like "Hey don't ya worry sugarcube, everything will be fine".
Then went in, they were surprised by how calm I was by then. Then it turned out that the dosage of the local anesthetize I had received wasn't enough, but they decided to go through with the surgery like that anyway..... It was so EXTREMELY painful oh my god, but was trying to think of the show in general and of AJ to get distracted a bit and could survive through it somehow, but it was the worst time of my life.
Anyway I felt like crying afterwards (although had to hold back my tears so they wouldn't make my right eye hurt even more) not because of the pain but because of how much this show means to me. ;_; It's a lot more powerful than even most bronies would realise.
Also needless to say AJ went up on my list from 4th place to best pony.
Sadly I won't be able to attend the mare-a-thon like this due to keeping even my left eye open means my right one hurts due to the way eye muscle reflexes work. In fact I probably shouldn't have even typed this right now but wanted to let my friends know everything's okay despite the excruciating pain that is still present since the surgery (painkillers barely helped =/).
Anyway I hope you all will have a lot of fun during the mare-a-thon. See you guys in a few days hopefully. Thoughts are with you Square that is some ordeal
best of luck on recovery!

I knew it was a good idea to wait till I was home to watch that.
Don't worry tears all around. Damn that was well executed.

I'm glad that you were able to draw strength from this square, you are truly a champion. It's the greatest shame that this will mean that you will miss the mare-a-thon. Hopefully you are feeling well enough to hop in at least once, until then best of luck.

I'm really sorry to read that, Square. You will be missed tomorrow. T____T
I'm glad you were able to find solace in pony through it all, though. That was definitely an inspiring story.
Recover soon and don't miss the next mareathon, whenever that may be!

You're pretty unlucky, it sounds rather painful. Here. Have a medicshy to help speed up your recovery!

Bronies, am I the only one that really dislikes when ponies are "humanized" ? Like this picture just above me, apart from her face everything is made for her to look human; the suit and gloves covering hooves are acceptable but drawing creases on her legs like she's wearing pants... No, not for me. And there are a lot of them so... Do you like your ponies human-shaped ?? (On the other hand, I LOVE ponified memes :D )
|
I don't have any issues with the above style; it still maintains a cartoonish look. I only dislike it when it goes to entirely human, including the face, and I prefer them to keep their hooves as well. Anything overly detailed in their human attributes, such as detailed clothing or detailed anatomy can detract from the picture as well.

I dont like it when they try to break the design to make it uglier. This happesn quite a lot when people try to make it more realistic or humanized. Very rarely do I see it being pulled off effectively.
When I try to make fanart I want to match the canon pretty closely in design philosophy and proportion. Its how I prefer fanart. For me, this applies a lot to 40k fanart.

(On the other hand, I LOVE ponified memes :D ) I'm fine with like making a Fluttershy version of the TF2 medic - it's a little weird but how else are you going to do it? On the other hand, straight up humanized ponies freak me out (eg this).

I've always watched anime and cartoons with anthro creatures, so I'm not really averse to it at all. In some cases I prefer a well drawn humanized/anthro pony over a g4 one.
