MLP is the one of the few things that gets such emotional response from me, even shedding a few tears at a few things along the way, at certain points in the episodes and even just in awe at certain fan contributions.

Also apparently Jayson Thiessen claims he started to choke himself when reading some of the more emotional stories the writers had come up with for some episodes in season 2, so I can't wait to see what they'll have in store for us.

I got a request. Some of you might know me as a caster for SC2. No I love my pony pictures as welcome or waiting screens or even some to start or end a cast or just to describe a certain situation in between games.

So I have a request! Can you help me gather ideas on which pictures/wallpapers to take and even have a nice saying which fits an good example is Rainbow Dash on the cloud here as a description that I am afk for a couple of seconds/minutes.



any suggestions or help would be appreciated

p.s. im not good with photoshop so i only can to like normal text additions.

In My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic there are many characters and concepts that are modeled after Greek myths. In Episode 1 we are introduced to the Pegasus Ponies known as Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. They are of course modeled after Pegasus from the Greek myth following Perseus. Unlike the Greek myth of old, there are many Pegasus ponies in the show's land known as Equestria.

In Episode 15, the characters run across a rather troublesome Hyrda. This is modeled after the Lerneaen Hydra that Heracles defeated in one of his 12 labors. In MLP: Fim, the Hydra only has 4 heads as opposed to the 7 heads that the hydra in the tale of Heracles is supposed to have.

In episode 16 one of the Pegasus Ponies, Rainbow Dash is practicing for a flying competition. Her friends wish to cheer her on, but the competition takes place in Cloudsdale, which is up in the sky. Since her friends Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie and Rarity are Earth Ponies, they do not posses wings. In order to cheer on their friend Twilight Sparkle researches a spell in order to allow them to fly up to Cloudsdale. The pony Rarity is first to volunteer and ends up receiving a pair of gorgeous wings. She is very happy with her wings and while Twilight warns her that her wings are fragile and made from morning dew, she tells Twilight not too worry that her wings won't be damaged by too much attention. On the day of the competition, Rarity flies up to the sky to better show off her beautiful wings and the sun's rays end up melting her wings causing her to fall. This story models after the Greek myth of Icarus and Daedalus. This father and son duo must escape from a vengeful king and do so by building 2 pairs of wings for each of them. Icarus (the son) gets too excited with the wings and ignores his fathers warning about flying too close to the sun. When he flies too close to the sun, the wax in his wings melt and he ends up falling to his death.

In Season 2's first two episode, we are introduced to the new character Discord. Discord is a Chimera and somewhat of a demigod and wants to bring chaos to all of Equestria. Discord is modeled both after Chimera that Bellaphron and Pegasus defeated as well as Eris the goddess of Discord and Chaos.

It is also regarded by many as the best episode of the entire series.
