Misfits (2009) a UK television series (now on it's second season), is one of the best shows I've ever seen. Full of crass raunchy humor and very likable and distinguished characters a seriously amazing soundtrack and a storyline that seriously ramps up every episode it gets better and cooler without going into the realm of "ridiculous" as far as cheap plot twists and storytelling.
Seriously give it a watch it's available on Hulu in America (up to season 2 EP 3) and up to episode 7 in the UK on youtube. I don't recommend it if you're not into very rude humor; if that's your thing though give this show a watch promise you won't regret it.
This show just gets me SERIOUSLY psyched every time the credits roll and the soundtrack has some of my favorite songs of all time; by the way my favorite character was Simon from episode 1.
I've watched the whole series, seasons 1 and 2, and I have to say that it's basically a less politically correct Heroes. Although one thing is for sure, the character development is just absolutely awesome, unlike Heroes where most of the characters were bland as hell.
Honestly the comedy alone makes this show worthwhile, but it's also got a good superhero grove, it's sexy, and of course they're all british delinquents so you get a slice of the "gangster underbelly" we've been hearing about so much lately (all the main characters are serving out community service sentences for various misdeeds and wrongdoings).

Disappointing that the main character is no longer in it
This show is possibly my favourite show of all time and I highly recommend it.
I really liked the first season. Not as much season 2, and haven't watched the season 3, but overall, I'd say it's worth watching, or at least watching the season 1 is worth it.

really confused as to why he didn't come back for season 3 heard it was because he had a movie in America that he had to do at the same time but still he pretty much made the show and will be weird to see him no longer there.
The trailer is one of the weirdest I've ever seen But the serie is by far the funniest I've watched until now, nathan is the most hilarious character I know There's also mini-web series, between the episodes
I'm only two episodes in, but this show is AWESOME so far. I believe someone said it earlier, but it's like Heroes, but raunchier and darker (but pretty damn hilarious, if I say so myself).
EDIT: The soundtrack is AMAZING. They've used one of my favorite artists (UNKLE) quite a few times. But what's with the strange lighting every other minute? Haha

HAHAHA, that's hilarious because his name isn't Barry. It's Simon. Nathan just calls him that cause he's an ass and doesn't know his name.
Misfits is simply my second favorite tv show after firefly
Here is the list of all the shows i've watched / am watching:
Boardwalk Empire Breaking Bad Misfits Heroes Six Feet Under The Big Bang Theory The Walking Dead House Prison Break Firefly Arrested Development Dexter

Some pretty good shit... Exept House which looks nothing like medecine and is the first television show to actually make the doctor's job more frustrating, as people tend to give their opinion on the condition they have according to what they've seen on that stupid show...
You should also watch the wire and generation kill.
Misfists is one of the best series around, Nathan is just funniest character ever. Sheehan and rheon are even funny out of characters. Just look at this:
I was baffled to never hear about this series untill this thread. It got 9.0 with 10k+ votes on imdb. I hope i won't be dissapointed. The trailer was yeah how to put it weird?
I watched them ages ago but reading this has made me watch them all again. Feels like i have been waiting for season three for years.
I am actually surprised people form outside the UK would like it. I might be just ignorant but i thought the UK had a unique social standing with kids and stuff. the attitude to ASBO's and all that jazz. Glad to see it though, people are missing out by not watching it.
EDIT::: slightly off topic of misfits but still TV....Just downloading Breaking bad, is it wroth watching?

I havent heard that. I hope it's not true because it would be terrible. He and Simon were the heart of the show and I don't know how they will keep it the way it was without him.

I feel this stuff really should be spoilered. Most people in this thread have tried to keep it that way.

idk how talking about the actor leaving the show needs to be spoilered.. it has nothing to do with the character or the show itself.

One of the best things about UK shows is you can watch the entire thing in a day. One of the worst is that you can watch the entire thing in only a day

I watch most of my TV shows online, as I don't actually watch much actual television, because of this I've been exposed to a lot of British television (which i prefer to NA TV shows) and "misfits" is one of the better shows I've watched. I recommend this show to everyone even if the trailer doesn't interest you.
I started watching because I saw this thread and I really love this show! Halfway through season 2 now but I'll wait with reading the thread until I'm up to date because I don't want to get spoiled .

If you still consider it as a Heroes kind of series, then you really need to keep watching. It's nothing like heroes, they're not fighting evil and all that. They just happen to have powers.

This is a great show. Apart from the superpower concept I wouldn't compare it to Heroes at all: - great sense of humor - a LOT of plot in every episode. the story moves very fast and doesn't get bogged down in endless cliffhangers / vague generic warnings of doom. - limited touchy-feely crap
BTW I did enjoy Heroes.
The one thing about both shows though is that the superheroes never seem to use their powers as frequently as I would expect someone to in real life. Rather they just use it in token moments to display their power.
Just watched both seasons in the last couple days. This series is really cool and also really funny, especially Nathan.
I like the fact that they used somewhat normal / regular looking people for all the roles. I must say that I found that quite refreshing compared to the usual underwear / swimsuit models that seem to pop up in pretty much every other series. Can't wait for season 3.
Warning: do not open if you haven't watched both seasons yet + Show Spoiler +
I really hope that Curtis rewinds time to prevent Nikki from dying. They don't actually show that in the last episode, or did I miss something.
Especially the scene where her and Curtis were doing it in the toilet and just before they cum she goes "oh shit" and accidentaly teleports.
New episode with the departure of Nathan happening on the 15th of this month hosted on E4, also the first episode is supposed to appear some time in November.
didn't know which thread was the official one so I decided to bump both with this news. The 3rd season starts on October 30th, with Nathan not being in it as you might have heard.
Interesting news I randomly wikied the show and in its list of characters had this about Nathan's replacement Rudi:
Joseph Gilgun as Rudy (Series 3). Has the ability to split himself into two identical duplicates, with polarised personality traits.
No other news about the new powers the gang has, can't wait
