I can see a sad ending happening but that's just straight up unsatisfying. Still think KKJ and Da Ran are gonna end up together, and Suzy will realize she likes Gil's brother (which was hinted at last episode). Joon Jae's gonna die because they've made no effort to give us an emotional attachment to him. It'll result in a much cleaner ending, and they don't have enough time left to resolve that whole issue. It'll also force YJ's mom to stay with KJJ, so he'll end up with a family and Da Ran. I'm probably being overly optimistic though lol.
+ Show Spoiler +Although we never had a emotional attachment to him, I feel like YJ's character has always been the good guy in the drama despite being in a coma throughout 14 episodes of it. There was hints throughout the episodes, showing how he was always looking for his younger brother KKJ and how he got extremely upset at his parents the first time they revealed to him the "miracle." I hope for a happy ending for him, even if its not with Gil Da Ran, although we still don't know, did he mean to tell her he loved her before the accident?

Not really spoilers but I'll hide it anyway:
+ Show Spoiler [Big E13-14] +I'm really hoping for a good ending to Big. 2 hours should be enough to make it satisfying I hope... It has gotten really hard to "pick a side" towards the end ;_;

That said, PASTA is da bomb! So glad I caught that show on netflix.
:[ I guess its just personal taste
but...PASTA as bomb indeed ! my first k drama haha
K drama <--- my guiltiest pleasure :3

Pasta is just as predictable, cliche, and stereotypical as any other kdrama... if not worse lol.

K-drama not my guilty pleasure as I feel no guilt in my enjoyment of them
Speaking of cheesy dramas, halfway through watching King 2 Hearts and holy boy is it cheesy. I still enjoy it but I prefer Ha Ji Won in Secret Garden.

Since BIG is almost done, I'm planning to start Ghost next, anyone whos currently watching it, how good of a drama is it? I personally enjoy an action/thriller based drama after watching a romantic one, is Ghost one of those?
|
I haven't watched it but the ratings have been consistently high. I have too many of the go atm, but it's my next one too.

Ghost is very good, definitely give it a try. It's about the cyber crime squad, so more of a thriller than action.

Can anyone recommend some similar dramas like "Big"? My favourites are girly types with lots of romance/cute leads. I've seen and thoroughly enjoyed "Snow Queen", "My Princess" and quite a few others.
|
Have you seen My Girlfriend is a Gumiho? Because if you haven't... thats the one!
|
Smile, You for more LMJ. 45 eps worth.
Operation proposal, gumiho, rooftop prince, flower boy ramyun shop, coffee shop prince, personal taste. I'm sorry I love you, protect the boss, shining inheritance, scent of a woman. Maybe boys over flowers if you don't mind the lead girl's face looking like a smacked ass.
Bit of a range of quality in there perhaps, been a while since I watched a few of them, but they are ones I remember.
|
Thanks gonna check out Smile, You.
Gumiho bored me a bit, I don't really like too much fantasy in my dramas. I'll check out Boys over flowers as well.
edit:~I refuse to watch anything with coffee in the title after being scarred for life by Coffee Prince.
|
^??? I was under the impression that Coffee Prince was incredibly popular.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, the synopsis indicates how it could potentially scar male viewers...

boys over flowers was so cute, just finished it and really liked it~

Hey there guys, I just got into drama series recently. One question, I remember on Nanashins stream he always used to play this one drama that was set in high school and involved a female lead who seemed to fight with everyone including her teachers. I think the series aired pretty recently but that's all I can remember, does anyone know a name for it?
|
didnt know big had only 16 episodes, but i'm happy for it, the drama has been better than most, but the script did not do justice to the leads. my opinion of most korean drama stars notwithstanding, I believe these two are genuinely talented. it also pales heavily to AGD which is the absolute gold standard for dramas right now.
|
@NorthKoreaZH You may be talking about Holyland? I saw this on Nanashin's stream a few weeks back, but I'm not a hundred percent certain it's what you're looking for since I haven't seen the drama myself

I'm pretty sure that's not it, I think it aired in late 2011?
