Getting Jesse on board was mainly a way for Walt to get help the FIRST time he attempted to kill bus, ie the car bomb. Everything after that I'd say was more just him adapting to the current circumstances. He knew that if he had Jesse on his side, the chances of offing Gus are way higher. | ||

rewatched episode 12, in the scene where he's spinning the gun it points towards the plant and then he just stares at it, can't believe I didn't pick up on that.. :x | ||

But I think it's more than that: Walter White and Jesse Pinkman are best when they have one another. Of course, both have character flaws that keep them from being a perfect pairing but the show, ultimately, makes the viewer want to see them working together. Jesse has spent 2 seasons trying to please Walter, who he still calls Mr. White, and Walter cares deeply for Jesse in ways that he can't admit. Both men have some shreds of nobility, though, I'd say Jesse's much more of a "hero" than Walter can be at this point, we want to see our heroes win. | ||

I honestly have no idea what's next though, it feels like just about everything big is already resolved. I mean, whatever comes next can't be as dangerous as Gus right? The cartel is gone, and even though Mike's still alive I don't feel like he would have any motive to come after Walt or Jesse since he's really just a hired gun. I'm guessing there will be stuff with the DEA and wrapping things up with Hank, but it just feels so cozy right now. I didn't expect that. | ||

Also, Hank and the DEA will find out about Walter and his involvement, but I'm interested in seeing how Hank, Walt Jr. and the rest of the people close to Walt will respond when they find out the truth. | ||

+ Show Spoiler + The last minute alliance; When Gus's henchman offered to do the job himself I was kinda expecting him to for the next season to carry on with the current antagonist. I was also expecting Walt to sneak up on the car, then I saw the bomb under Hector's chair. How Gus managed to even walk out was a little odd though. but now I'm also very sad because this is the only show I watch consistently. T.T and it's the FINAL season... Best tv series in quite some time. | ||
