All the more so when you consider that this definitely isn't Clarkson's first run in with controversy. Best Joke Ever. Public entities are the ones who have it the easiest. They can get away with ANYTHING, because they have 0 funding limit (you can always write futures on taxation) and if you get a negative outcome and have to pay something, you use public pressure by saying the taxpayer will have to pay for it to get the case thrown off. I suggest you try to find a case of public entity where the entity had to do anything, and if they were finally ruled to do something, If they actually did it. You will find a handfull of cases at most.

You will find a handfull of cases at most. You've set up no real conditions here, "anything, did it, something," do not define a specific set of circumstances. If you are referring to loosely or entirely publicly funded entities, (as other posters have indicated the BBC is funded by license fees rather than by a Parliament approved allocation) where in an employee is terminated for misconduct it happens every day. It is just that Jim in public works who was caught looking at porn on the clock doesn't make a million pounds a year as a presenter on a show with millions of viewers. If you would like to see a similar situation look up Jian Ghomeshi who worked as a broadcaster for the CBC. The accusations against him are entirely dissimilar but the end result of him getting canned was the same. As I said though, you're not defined any conditions for what is meant to be happening,.

That was a leaked email where he thanked everyone who had worked there for 13 years. He clarified after: He is not leaving bbc

this will be it though boys and girls, after these two Top Gear is over as we know it! Good news that Hammond and May confirmed for rejecting BBC contract offers and along with producer will probably be making a new series by the end of the year i guess? They are busy with their tour for the remainder of the year. Go watch Hammond May and Clarkson live if u haven't!

Last I read was that Hammond and May rejected very lucrative offers by the BBC, to join Clarkson at Netflix. And I don't think that this show would be all that different from TopGear. Chris Evans is "making a new Top Gear" with a different production company? I dont know how it is working but they are filming one episode "soon" and will be aired i guess. I have no idea how it is working but BBC are involved and he has confirmed to be hosting it. The broadcasters for "new show" are either Netflix or ITV with boy a good choice for me. But again i would not expect to see anything out of those 3 until the end of the year at the earliest.

I have no idea about English TV/pop culture outside of Top Gear, I think Chris Evans is the ginger with the white Ferraris? So I've got no idea what to expect from that show, but the only way they will be able to disappoint me is if they just try to do the same thing with three different hosts, so I will give it a chance.
