I doubt any of you would say the same after a ride in a Nissan GTR or M3, etc And i don't get how you guys say they are so bad in traffic, its basically a manual without a clutch pedal, no? I don't get how it could be any more tedious changing gears with a paddle than a clutch and traditional lever? So true, I have an M3 E92 and the paddles are fantastic and work so nice together with the double clutch transmission, you really can't compare them to the paddles of a Ford or Renault. And why would they be bad in city traffic? This really doesn't make any sense.

Loved the last 10-15minutes were they showed us Brits that we still do actually make cars/trucks/tracktors etc and we still export quite a few. I do hope the next season isn't to far away ![]()

I do hope the next season isn't to far away ![]() Top Gear recently got permission and funds to air 16 episodes a year, up from 14. The problem is that this year they've already aired 13 of them over 2 seasons. So my very uneducated guess is that next season is going to air right around new years.

What. Fucking BBC fuck that. I say Top Gear leave, get out of contract and either go to Sky (Englands version of cable/satellite) or even sign with ITV and get more episodes/more funding. It's one of the biggest shows in England yet there is hardly any episodes >.< 16 episodes a year isn't exactly many considering there are lots of cars that come out every year >.<

I'm sure that if TG wanted to do 20 episode seasons, BBC would let them do it but I don't think the TG production staff want that.

Im sure they can find places to drive and they always seem like they come up with ideas whilst they do the news segment of the show. Like they discussed driving 3 super cars Lambo Ferrari and Mclaren around Europe etc. Things like that is great fun xD Christmas specials as episodes for me would be awesome :3 But i guess they know best xD And there is always that channel in England called "Dave" which shows Top Gear ALL DAY EVERYDAY (pretty much) for when i need my Top Gear fix xD

I'm not sure how I feel about Top Gear these days. I haven't felt as compelled to watch it as I used to. It almost has that urgent feeling of "Right guys we need to one up last season again", which just makes it more and more ridiculous. It's funny, don't get me wrong, but it's less and less... factual.

Other than soap operas basically nothing gets more than 12 episodes a year, it's called 'British Brevity' on TVTropes, we just do shorter series than America for some reason. British TV isn't American TV they can't support so many episodes even when it's a cheap format like a panel show.
