If it wasnt for them Top Gear would have flopped after 2 episodes. The first two seasons was without James May...yes, it did suck. But I don't think the other versions of TG are that bad infact, they just can't compare to Jezza and co. The first season of US top gear had its moments, and AU TG has picked up a lot lately compared to its first seasons.

In the UK new episodes are broadcast on a Sunday evening, it makes the impending Monday morning return to work feeling fizzle away to nothing.

Top Gear is generally the most torrented show on the net and has been for most of the last 5 years. So, yes, a whole lot of people know about it. ![]()

Its one of the most watched tv shows world wide, if not the most watched regular weekly show. Estimates of viewers range from 250 to 400 mil (from statements of the show, and google). Thats not even factoring in that its also one of most popular shows in pirate channels.

That's why it's so amazing, it's barely a car show. The other Top Gear's try so hard to be an actual car show, they end up failing horribly. Top Gear Australia is a joke, no one watches it.

I got an autograph from Clarkson at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2004. He was at a signing booth to raise money and awareness for a charity campaign he was backing. He said a few words about the weather and that i'm an arse for supporting Manchester United lol

I love when Jeremy puts on voices. I love when James is generally awkward "You always start with 'Hello'", stuffy, and overly proper. I love when Hammond is goofy and a 'bad winner.' ![]() This show is absolutely awesome, and since I've started watching it last summer I can't get enough of it. It's a shame there are so few new episodes each year. On June 09 2011 21:26 Eatme wrote: I've read somewhere that they are doing some electric car challange in the upcoming season.
