That also explains the guy on the rope bridge who looked like Theon, but not quite. Must have been Euron again. Damn.
And good call on Bran too.

I hope Davos can do better than Sam

I hope Davos doesn't die trying to save Jon.

I thought Kingsmoot and other Ironborn things were cut because they didn't have enough time to show everything but it seems like it was just delayed. Not sure if I like it, tv show Ironborn were kind of dull.
G-guys Stannis could be still alive, there is no proof the burning flayed corpse is his!11

Book Ironborn as well btw. I really felt like skipping through the Aeron Greyjoy chapters.

I just read that George Martin died. Very sad that the 5th Beatle passed away, but thankfully not George R. R. Martin. There's still (some) hope for the books.

The guy with the Targaryen sigil on his breastplate is awkward. It doesn't instantly register as any of the guys who are supposed to be at the Tower of Joy. Guess I'll go with Hightower. 1. He doesn't use a greatsword, so it shouldn't be Dayne. 2. The one important visual they might have used from the books for Whent would have been the bat helm, so there is a mumble of an excuse to lower the probability that it is Whent. 3. As the lord commander I imagine Hightower is most likely to be displaying a royal sigil, even though none of them really should be wearing it like that.
The figure he is most directly facing looks like it must be Ned. I wonder if they got Sea Bean to reprise the role for that.
That phalanx and that brightly armored formation in front of the great sept are interesting on account of the "wait, who the hell is this?" factor we are not so accustomed to.

Damn man, that's cruel. Heart stopped when I read those first words

They haven't care about that level of detail in the show, it can be anything. Even fake Targaryen Varys-Baby

Sean bean is like 55 and Ned is like 20 at the tower of joy, we can suspend belief but not THAT much
Also they sent out casting calls for younger actors for this scene so Sean bean won't appear

From the link above:
+ Show Spoiler +109. Although it has yet to feature in A Song Of Ice And Fire, George R.R. Martin has confirmed that it was always his intention for Stannis and Melisandre to sacrifice Shireen to the God of Light. also 115. Brienne does 100% kill Stannis in that scene. The only reason they didn’t show him actually dying was to avoid being gratuitous.
I'll put it in spoilers then as it maybe spoils something not in books yet. Very minor though imo.

I really don't enjoy reading that kind of spoilers... sure it happened in the show, but there was nothing saying it would happen in the book pasting this here without warning or spoiler tag should not happen

Actualy I was most shocked by this:
Indira Varma, Jacob Anderson and Nathalie Emmanuel’s characters, Ellaria, Grey Worm and Missandei, were also expanded because of how much the showrunners liked their performances.
Imo these 3 were exactly the 3 worst actors in the show apart from Lancel and maybe some child actors.

You think the Sand Snakes were better than these 3?

Guess I am still trying to not consider these a legitimate part of the show.
