 why didn't he flamethrow some more though instead of waiting around. Maybe he's still a babe. You could feel Stannis breaking when he talked to his daughter.. the burning though was infuriating.. Preview of episode 10: Someone confronts Brienne: "You betrayed her". Sounds like Lem Lemoncloak.. And Brienne grabs her Lannister forged sword to answer.. can only mean betraying Catelyn Stark for the Lannisters. Lady Stoneheart definitely in this. | ||

They could have pulled off a much more elegant and Stannis way to burn shereen. For example, mellisandre could try burning her on her own, Stannis would find out at the last second and just as he would be about to kill mellisandre and save his daughter, a sign that her spell worked/was in progress could barely convince him to let his child burn afterall. We could see the struggle before his choice and all. Now it's just retarded "ey look, a crazy witch woman told me to burn my only child, oh well guess I'd better hurry then, bye bye shereen, cya in the afterlife, I hope you look better there cause now you look like a lizard anyway, lolz" . | ||

I didn't mind how it's done in the show though. I think Drogon doesn't really care for Dany's rules, doesn't wanna be tied down like the other two, he likes his freedom. But he still loves his mum enough to not want her to die. Makes sense to me. | ||

The worst detail about the CGI was how they clumped the burning people into groups of ~5 each time and avoided any wide-sweeping fire from Drogon despite using wide shots. It screamed limited effect budget. If you have a limitation like that, you find a way to hide it better. Sometimes that sort of thing even leads to an unexpected win. | ||
