I'm trying to think of a way she could pull of something in the process of Stannis invading - if we're lucky, I guess, maybe she kills Roose or Ramsay? Although it seems more likely Ramsay's gonna die with his 20 good dudes, raiding Stannis. My dream is that she kills Littlefinger one day and takes his position as an important player, but there isn't that much development of her character (in the show) in the direction of clever thinking and manipulation. There was the thing she did to cover for Littlefinger at the end of S4, but that was about it. At this point in the DnD version, it appears Sansa has to do for herself some portion of what Mance and those spearwives or even Lord Manderly accomplished. That should be worth something. Hardhome subdued my pessimism towards the spin-off enough that I'm a bit hyped for this week. It seems that it will have one of the main points I had been wanting to see translated to a screen. + Show Spoiler +It may also have Jon Snow's not-death. Most likely if they decided against trolling the unsullied by leaving that in the air between seasons by revealing his revival right away in e10. That event is the weird one to watch out for. T hey have cut the notion that any of Rickard's grandchildren other than Bran are skinchangers, let alone introduced the ideas false death vs. true death for a skinchanger. They also sent Mel off with Stannis. There go the apparent methods of Jon's preservation and/or reconstitution. Maybe his eyes are going blue afterall, because that is the only known potential rez around right now in the show. didnt they have the wildling skinchanger saying some shit about Jon? And i think i kinda remember someone saying the mark of the beast is on him, but this might be just me mixing things up
Yes, there have been a couple references. They are few and far between. None of them were very recent. I think it is enough to call that potential plot point closed in the show.
-Rickon had the same dream of Ned's death as Bran -Arya mentioned wolf dreams -Orell insinuated that Jon is a warg - Janos Slynt said Jon had the mark of the beast (or was it Craster?)
The last one is hard to give any credit to. The others were just one per season from 1-3. The Orell one is the strong point, but a lonely and distant one now. If Jon were to suddenly have a dramatic skinchanging event that would be pretty out of nowhere.
And hell, the only time we meaningfully saw Ghost in recent memory was in a scene that reinforced his independence from Jon by showing that he had stayed in CB while Jon went to Hardhome.

imo the fact that Ghost suddenly turned up somewhat randomly with the Sam-beating scene says more about Jon warging into Ghost than the few points made in previous seasons that he is a warg. also, the Halfhand knew Jon was a warg, they had that scene in the show too iirc, where orell attacks Ghost

+ Show Spoiler + fuck D&D's writing, this is just terrible and there are pretty much no excuses for such a flawed portrayal of a character. I don't even understand how they think this is consistent with their own writing....

It's show. Don't click if you don't want to know what happens in the next episode.
Are we allowed to discuss it like this, mods?

I imagine it is just like the 5.1-5.4 leak. Keep using spoiler tags for a few hours.

I haven't watched the leaked episode yet, but if what is rumored to happen in tonights episode actually happens..+ Show Spoiler +Stannis burning Shireen...I saw some screenshots posted online so it seems like it is going to happen which is just all kinds of stupid bullshit. It's not anywhere near consistent with the books and it's not even consistent with what they wrote a couple weeks ago for fuck sake. It's literally just a "How can we try and shock people into getting ratings. Pathetic, shitty writing, ruining a damn good character is the icing on the shit cake. It's just plain garbage. DO NOT CLICK SPOILER TAG IF YOU DON'T WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS IN TONIGHT'S EPISODE.

+ Show Spoiler +Yeaaaaah. I don't know what to say. If he actually willingly burns her, then the scene between he and Shireen is completely nullified and effectively rendered pointless. I mean, in that scenario, that particular scene does not qualify as character development or even a set up for this to happen. It's just outright bad writing. You don't have a character display his strong resolve to protect his daughter at any cost, only to have him burn her a couple of episodes later. It makes no sense.

+ Show Spoiler +why would that scene be pointless? It shows how much he loves her, it makes this sacrifice only that more tragic.I didn't watch the episode, so i can't tell if they manage to portray it the way it should be if you are goign that route (it should be clear that he is only doing it cause it is the absolute only chance, he should struggle and it should change him), but i don#t see why people hop on that "bad writing" here tbh. It's fucked up, sure, but i could see why they would include it that way.
