She's under implied threat of death by her brother, she's physically exhausted from riding all day and she'd probably prefer to get some rest during the night. That being said, just because Drogo isn't being sensitive, doesn't mean he's raping her. It's implied during her wedding night that she just has to say no and he would leave her be. But calling someone a rapist, just because he has sex with his wife and doesn't know that she doesn't want to, is pretty harsh. No, it isn't harsh, and that's actually the definition of rape, particularly in the relationship that Dany was in with Drogo (one in which he holds all the power).

Don't be daft, it's only rape when ugly people do it. But seriously, by that definition, all men are rapists and most women are, too. As if your girlfriend has never slept with you even though she didn't feel like it just to make you happy... Just stop belittling the horror or real rapes by calling it rape whenever something vaguely unpleasant happens to a girl.

Did something similar for quite a long time in the dating thread iirc. Judging fro the dating thread I'm inclined to believe he actually means what he says. T___T

But given that it's the season finale, one can hope for a proper reveal. Better late than never.

Thank god the criminal justice system agrees with me and not you, otherwise there'd be more men in prison than there are white knights on TL.

edit: That's not to say that she didn't grow to love him or that it wasn't consentual later, but the first (few) instance(s) were 100% rape and you know it.

He always took her from begind, Dothraki fashion, for which Dany was grateful; that way her lord husband could not see the tears that wet her face, and she could use her pillow to muffle her cries of pain. He didn't know he was hurting her, he didn't know that she was unwilling, he had no reason to suspect otherwise, given her enthusiastic consent during the wedding night, and he would have stopped had he known. If that is really rape in your guys' eyes, I would appear we have very different positions here.

None of you will change their mind. There is literally no progress being made as you keep discussing. It's probably better if you just drop it and not bring it up again. Pretty big waste of time, if you ask me.

Okay, you've finally convinced me that you're just a troll. So, moving on: I really don't believe the imdb entries are very accurate, but there's still a small sliver of hope left for me that we'll see Lady Stoneheart again. Eventually. I want to believe!

Eventually. I want to believe! I thought she made a couple pretty direct statements to the effect of being done with the show, but that might have been intentional misdirection. Seems odd to me for them to bother with that though. It is a lot of hiding for something that isn't a spoiler for half the audience. Unless they wanted to go meta and really surprise everyone, but then they'd have had to really keep it hooded.

The second is, we have to assume Benioff and Weiss know what happens to Jon at the end of book 5. If they really chose to cut the resurrection of Catelyn out of the show, I highly doubt that Jon is getting resurrected in the books. It wouldn't make sense to cut that if you're going to have the same thing happen next season and not cut it...

Beric in the book serves as the tool that brings Catelyn back. Maybe in the show he has a different purpose afterwards (like doing what Stoneheart was doing or whatever), but in that case the resurrection part of his character is useless. Being resurrected may very well be important for Jon's character but not for Cat, from what we know so far.
