I was hopeful, but oh well.. I think that if he doesn't get the novel out in 2016, people are going to be really annoyed though. I know I will be.

Quite curious to whom Olenna was talking to, as well as the scene with Sansa/LF. The background looks like they could be in the North? Pretty sure Bran is going to be AFK this entire season.

I really like the nuggets they throw in for the book-readers so far, like the story Cersey tells Catelyn, aber her own first boy, who had black hair and died in infancy. Show watchers will take that as Cersey lying, and book readers will know she's sharing half of a horrible secret.

They've confirmed already that Bran/Hodor will not appear at all this season. I kinda like it. It makes for less boring "Bran talks to guy sitting in tree"-scenes, it gives the viewers (and, let's face it, us book readers, too) quite a surprise when they see him again being quite powerful, and it makes it far more believable when Bran suddenly looks like an adult even though barely any time has passed.

The simple version is that Faegon won't be in the show. He carries a lot of background baggage with him, and considering they went as far as to cut the entire Iron Islands arc it doesn't seem like they would invest the time building that up. I'm no longer willing to draw any confident speculations about the plot of the books based on that likelyhood. (arrogant and mediocre confidence stance: He is faegon and will amount to little anyway) Olenna was probably talking to Margaery. She keeps that kind of straight talk to her family. To an "not us" (an enemy, to borrow from Cersei) that statement either admits weakness or is a threat depending on the context, and that isn't her thing either way. Agreed on the question of where the hell Sansa and LF are. To make up a semi wild guess, they might be merging LF into Manderly a bit and taking Sansa along for some of the North vs. Boltons stuff.

I could see that being the case, Benioff and Weiss have mentioned they will continue to alter the books, they even adding a new character just to get the badassness of Mr. Eko on the show. Yet they not putting Ariana nor the Griffs? people calling GRRM evil for WoW delay I called Benioff and Weiss evil for that crap (although having Mr. Eko in season 5 makes this the greatest show of all time)

What piqued my interest the most is Varys' line: "Who said anything about a 'him'?". Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he supposed to be a supporter of (f)Aegon? Why would he align himself with Daenerys in the show? More likely though, it's just a line they cherry-picked to make it look ambiguous. Trailer looks good otherwise. Waiting for a HD/real one to judge a little better. ya, it seems that griff isnt in the show so varys will prob go for Dany, but that line tells me that if R+L=J is legit, Varys doesn't know, regardless we will know for sure when WoW comes out, whenever that is

I'm really hoping they build it up at least (if his true parentage plays any significance), and not just like an instant 1 episode reveal or something.

Aero and Jaime sharing a scene at 1:02 (it is also the video thumbnail, see famous longaxe and the guy off' Jaime's arm holding it) catches my attention on rewatch. It also looked somewhat like that might have been the back of Jaime's head when [Ty or Nym? - role merged with cut Arianne] was playing seductress in the next shot. A Jaime role merge with Oakheart leads to interesting possibilities.

He's not Mr. Eko, he's Simon Adebisi. About four times as badass. More seriously, where did you guys get that Aero and Jaime have a scene together? I just watched the trailer twice, and it eluded me.

I definitely recall a few scenes where the CGI was down right awful. Mostly thinking about the White Walker grabbing and shattering Sam's sword, and also when Lysa is thrown by the Moon Door. I'd like to think they've been managing the budget all these seasons because they know the later seasons will have a lot of CGI. We'll see how they do this season.
