It almost seems to me that GRRM makes a point of underlining the fact that it is possible to survive for a long time beyond the Wall, as per Qhorin Halfhand standards. Could just be my wishful thinking though.

Leaf tells Bran the Others/Wights killed him a long time ago, and I'd expect when one of the Children says something like that then it's not something that happened in the recent 2 years or anything. I like the theory that Coldhands is the Night's King. As former Lord Commander, he knows secrets about The Wall, wich he used to help Sam; he was friendly with The Others and took an other as his queen; He died long time ago; Old Nan implies he was a Stark.

Considering that the guy who changed the baby at the end of season 4 episode 4 was credited as "the Night's King", and then the credit was removed so that people wouldn't see that, I think we know where the night's king is in the Asoiaf universe. I just think Coldhands is someone from Dunk & Egg honestly.

And this is the reason I've stopped watching the show..... For now, anyways.

Posted in the TV thread, but figured it's pretty discussion worthy here too. What piqued my interest the most is Varys' line: "Who said anything about a 'him'?". Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't he supposed to be a supporter of (f)Aegon? Why would he align himself with Daenerys in the show? More likely though, it's just a line they cherry-picked to make it look ambiguous. Trailer looks good otherwise. Waiting for a HD/real one to judge a little better.

I wonder who Olenna is talking to. Arya looks like she's gotten a lot taller!

On the one hand, I'm very very excited about season 5 and want to watch it as soon as possible. On the other hand, I want to avoid potential spoilers for the 6th book. Sophie's choice right there. On a different note, does anyone know what version/cover of David Bowie's 'Heroes' was used in that trailer? It sounded really good.

Even if you end up not watching the show at all, the internet will be full of spoilers from the show anyhow. It's far too popular to avoid, no matter what you do.

There's already been a (albeit potential) major spoiler in the show: the stuff about the White Walker (or Night's King?) turning the baby into one of his kind. As much as I'd like to not watch the show to discover the story through the books, I don't think it's doable.
