If Jon comes back in Ghost it'll be interesting to see how he gets back into a humans body so he can do stuff. Also I'd be scared they go after ghost next after offing Jon. I'll spoiler these anyways just b/c I don't wanna get in trouble but i'm pretty sure we're safe to not spoiler them.

Btw AFFC had 3 Arya chapters to the best of my knowledge and Dance had 3 too, this is really really few considering there were about 10 Danny chapters in Dance with about a quarter of the "action" of those of Arya chapters + Show Spoiler + On the night of the Fake Arya/Ramsay wedding when Ramsay tells Theon to get her "wet", Theon says something like "But I don't have..." and Ramsay cuts him off. Im 99.99% sure he's referring to something between his legs.

+ Show Spoiler + Jon: is a complete baller, then he decides to create his own army to make war with Bolton? seriously??? that was so not right for the character. oh and then he supposedly gets killed. Stannis: spends x chapters to slowly die, then, finally he receives information that he has been bested and the next thing we learn is, that he is dead. really disappointed in the ending of this storyline. maybe it's not true at all, but still not the way to end this book. daenerys: maybe she found a victory at taming this dragon, but still, all her chapters were so painful, everything just got worse and worse the dorne prince: hahaha. that was so hilarious. and naming the chapter dragontamer...still, he is dead. golden legion: sounded like they would do well, still, all their nice plans were already known to everybody at king's landing and last: ser kevan: when i saw, he had the epilogue, i knew he would get killed. and that is really bad. that varys did it is even worse. he always said, he was doing anything for the good of the realm. then he slaughters the men that was trying to bring piece nad was capable. i mean, i get it, we need the drama, but it felt so forced.

We cant say for sure yet if Stannis is dead either because we only heard about it in a letter from Bolton which is not really worth much. I think Jon always was a family man so it did not surprise me that much that he wanted to help Arya

On Varys, i might accept that he is just planning to present Daenerys the realm on a silver plate, but i don't know why. Maybe he does have some unknown link to the Targaryens, no intelligent men would bet on Dany at this moment, still he does anything in case she might return with an army. maybe. And Stannis, yeah, he might live and still have an army. Maybe the king behind the wall was captured and told a nice story to the bastard, that is sitting behind his walls, besieged by stannis forces after he killed karstark, took his men anyway. maybe. It's just not the way i would have liked this arc to end. too much cliffhanger everywhere

Arya was always the Stark Jon liked the most imo, so I am not that surprised that he wants to rescue her. Using the whole army might be too much. But we can only wait and see what happens in the next book in 5 years ![]()

After hearing Illyrios story and how he met Varys I think it became clear that Varys works for Danys return, which of course will be easier when the realm is in chaos. We cant say for sure yet if Stannis is dead either because we only heard about it in a letter from Bolton which is not really worth much. I think Jon always was a family man so it did not surprise me that much that he wanted to help Arya imo Varys is, in his own way, working for the good of the realm. As long as any of the major westeros houses is in control the game of thrones never stops and the peasants suffer the consequences. Dragons are the nukes of westeros. Keeping the major powers in line. Littlefinger's endgame.... now that I can't wrap my head around.

Where is the place where such a prince is in captivity, yet it is kept in total silence. What could anyone gain with it? If they want to restore him then he obvioulsy isnt needed to be kept captive, if he s perceived as a danger he can be killed. Did he fell in the arms of some plot figure? Littlefinger plans to claim Winterfell trough Sansa, Lannisters claim winterfell trough fake arya+ramsay bolton and Varrys and co appeared to be content with having the north, and the realm in general in chaos and disorder so a leaderless North is ok with them, they really seemed to care more about Dorne and King's Landing. And Stannis obviously doesnt have him. So any ideas? Rickon is hiding on Skagos. At the end of the Davos chapter he says he'd rather stay in the prison he was at than go to a place that still practices cannibalism.

I don't see what's so awful about Melisandre and the Lord of the Light either... I wonder what the casting is going to be for Davos/Melisandre/Stannis

All in all, ADWD is a very good fifth book and makes me excited for the rest of the series although I do not believe Martin is capable of finishing the work. His difficulties in completing AFFC and ADWD will be further exacerbated with added complexities of the story as it moves forward. He is 63 now, perhaps three years per book with a possibility of requiring a forth book, that puts him at 75 years old when the work is completed... I'd say he retires before that due to health. And with him noting that he would not want this work completed by another author, the chances are high that this story will never be concluded.

i just finished the song of ice and fire books that are out right now. i dont want to be a dick to grrm (i absolutely loved his writing of the first three books), but I am left puzzled wondering what happened in a feast for crows and a dance with dragons. at his current rate I will be 58 years old before sansa is 20. I went to check the reviews on his last two books to see what people thought and fml I should have read them before I bought the books. The last two books aren't bad compared to other authors in this genre...but it is garbage compared to GRRM's first three books. Sometimes I do not understand why he writes a certain chapter because the story never moves. But then I realized this happens not in just one chapter, but pretty much the entire book! Random things I wanted: Jon going gungho in the Wilds fighting off the Others, getting beaten back and the Others taking over half of Westeros. GRRM made "Winter" sound like such a piss your pants big deal and yet the Others are a blip on the radar so far. Tyrion...going to Dany and becoming a Dragon rider, then leading Dany's armies and becoming ruler of Casterly Rock. Most trusted and smartest advisor to Dany. Just being a badass. Jaime: He has finally become a better man and is a chivalrous knight. Not sure where I want him but I want him to be the greatest knight/swordsman in the history of Westeros. With just one hand. Marries Brienne. Arya: Finishes her training and becomes a warrior princess like Nymeria and finally hooks up with her direwolf, Nymeria. Marries no one. Bran: Becomes Lord of Winterfell and the most feared skin-changer. Dany: She stops trying to save every little farmhand and gets her butt into high gear and invades Westeros. Her dragons are fully trained and Drogon is the biggest dragon in history. Marries Jon Snow. Cersei dies like the bitch she is. By whom? By Dany of course. Sansa......the character I dislike the most. So vain and materialistic. I hope GRRM sends her off to an island with her fairy tale prince so we never have to see her again. In the end there is peace because Dany is a just and loving ruler, has Tyrion and Jon as advisors, Arya, Bran, and Jaime as her warriors. Weird group I know but it would be amusing.
