Joffrey's actor doesn't know how to do a vile face. I liked Arya at first but it seems she can't cry or do a sad/raging face. Shae is supposed to be sleezy not all moundain and shit (Although she gets +1 for being a porn actress xD). Tywin doesn't seem too mean with Tyrion, and we didn't see the latter suffer through the fight. The most disappointing might be the story of Jon. No real excitement + He doesn't feel like Jon is supposed to be (he's trying to make a good sad and resigned face but it doesn't quite fit and he's doing it all the time which is starting to be annoying)
Also Jorah's fight wasn't as exiting as drogo's.in ep8 or as ned and jaime's. The other guy had his sword grabbed and stood there waiting for what seemed to be the slowest blow ever.
However I will admit that little finger's "Im not gonna fight them, Im gonna fuck them" in a latter episode was epic. The other actors, the first to be introduced in the series, are good, sometimes awesome. Hell can you make a better bitch than Cersei or a better khal than Jason momoa's Drogo ? Hope they get more and more of the likes of those.. she is no porn actress. where did you read that? : P
She has been.
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sibel_Kekilli (assuming you're from germany you should understand the paragraph "pornografische Produktionen"
// i didnt even know she would be shae, so after the episode i searched a bit around, and its really not that hard to find her "earlier work" on the common porn-sites ^^

lol.. I thought the was something familiar about her..
|
Well it's probably a lot harder finding a legit actress who wants to show all her lady bits every couple episodes.

I love it, this guy is pretty much dead on, in his first post, but its in the wrong damn thread. Like someone in that thread pointed out...that scene never made it into the series, it was only in the books so we can assume he read them and wanted to look like he is quite the awesome dude, figuring it out on his own. God i hate such people. Well... on the other hand quite funny that the whole thing blew up :D
I can't stop thinking about Jaime now...

ah ok didn't know that. :D

Oh she is a legit actress meanwhile,
She has won the german film award "Lola", consider it a german oscar, twice and has quit porn for nearly 10 years now.

You do realize that the show in its current form is in fact low quality / low budget, right? The majority of the reason for its excellent performance thus far stems from the high quality of the source material; it's so good that we barely notice the lack of a big budget. The actors are all rising to the occasion, but let's be honest, there is a reason that none got Emmy nominations, and the few that are heads-and-tails above the rest are primarily in breakout roles.
You're talking out of your ass. The Emmy nominees haven't been announced yet, and Game of Thrones is not a small budget for a new television series.
Not saying they will get nominations though, but I think the only reason they wouldn't is because no one character has a ton of screen time.

I have to say I'm only half way through a storm of swords and its getting harder to keep reading - every character i keep getting interested in dies at this point the only reason I keep reading i sbecause I've invested myself in 2000 pages of the book. its the same reason I keep reading bleach actually

I'm upset they cheaped out of Tyrion's fight in the battle in the last ep, I suppose that may have also been for budget reasons, though i think it makes the character a little weaker feeling. Then again it was a kind of oddity that he was able to do what he did in that fight in the book...

it migh not be a "low budget" production, but the budget is absolutely limiting. The way the producers of the show are talking about future seasons demonstrate just that. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/showtracker/2011/06/as-game-of-thrones-nears-its-finale-showrunners-david-benioff-and-dan-weiss-talk-about-season-two.html
I'm disappointed that certain scenes are getting cut or reduced because of budget/time, but on the other hand, it seems the producers realize their strengths and limitations. So it's still a high quality show, despite all of this. But it's going to be interesting to see what the dragons look like next episode. I'm kind of expecting and fearing horrible V quality CG though, and the look/quality of them will be a strong indicator for the future of the series.

From the article: (which was quite interesting, thx)
"There's fluidity in that certain scenes from the third book find their way into the second season just as certain scenes from the second book find their way into the end of the first season."
What scene do you guys think we'll see in next ep that comes from book 2?

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if we see a snippet of Arya's POV in the next episode and going back to the whole "budget" situation. I mean I can understand the lack of time/budget but at the same time, this is also its first season. I don't know if they expected this large of an audience or whatever. I don't know, just a single opinion. Excited to see how people react to the next episode that and I am curious to how many people ACTUALLY will follow through with not watching after claiming they are done with the show considering Ned is dead.

No budget is going to give them real baby dragons, i hope you realise that.

Well, we still didn't see a character that dies in 3rd book die in 1st season so I expect that to happen in season finale

My guess is that they put the talk between Cat and Jaime in episode 10 and move it from Riverrun to 'army camp'.
|
Do you guys think Dolorious Edd will be in the show in all his melancholic glory? I sincerely hope so.

He will be. It is known. I don't have the source, sorry.

Not likely. That talk can't happen until Bran and Rickon are believed to be dead. Also, Catelyn frees Jaime right after that, and that can't happen until Renly dies and Brienne joins Catelyn.
-
If they put a scene from book 2 at the end of s1 it has to be a teaser, to encourage viewers to come back for s2, and it has to use actors that are already casted from s1. Oh, and also it shouldn't fuck up the timeline too much.
Likely candidates :
-Arya starting her journey north with Yoren and Gendry and the other dudes. -Jon and the Night's Watch getting ready to leave north of the Wall to look for Benjen Stark. -Tywin sending Tyrion to King's Landing to be Hand of the King.
