And what about blood magic? The magic that the red priests use doesnt feel the same as the dragon magic, neither does the magic that the warlocs use.
Do i really have to wait another month to read that freacking boooooooooooookkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk. Does Melisandre believe Stannis is the promised prince? I've always been under the impression that she is basically using stannis for her own gains (it's been a while since I read the books though, rereading them now) Also I hope they get the dragons right. CGI often looks bad to me. I usually like animatronics better

mod about syrio
In 2005, GRRM pointed out that Syrio seems to have been left in a hopeless situation when he was last seen, and suggested readers should "draw your own conclusions" based on this (SSM), which seems to imply that Syrio Forel was in fact killed. More recent reports (but, it should be said, unconfirmed) indicate GRRM does not understand why he gets asked the question repeatedly, pointing out that Syrio is not immortal; if accurate, this seems to more heavily imply that Syrio Forel is dead.

+ Show Spoiler +One thing that most fans who have discussed this issue seem united on is that Stannis is not the PtwP, despite Melisandre’s claims or beliefs. Maester Aemon, like Salladhor Saan, cast doubts on the authenticity of Stannis’s Lightbringer (II: 115. III: 886). While the rest of her prophecy (II: 110. III: 289) bears a superficial resemblance to Stannis’s own circumstances, other candidates have greater support among the fan community.
III: 289 - AZOR AHAI "When the red star bleeds and the darkness gathers, Azor Ahai shall be born again amidst smoke and salt."
The red star would be the comet, and the Others and the coming winter would be the darkness, like that of the Long Night. In her own interpretation of this prophecy, Melisandre claims that Dragonstone is the place of smoke and salt. She also claims that she has seen in the flames that Stannis is the Lord's chosen warrior, Azor Ahai reborn, and that she has seen him leading the fight against the dark. The flames do not lie, according to her, but even if she is not willfully misleading Stannis she may be misleading herself. Daenerys, after all, was born on Dragonstone.
More importantly, however, she was figuratively born again as the Unburnt at the time of Drogo's death and the first appearance of the red comet, where she wept salt tears and immersed herself in smoke and fire of the pyre.

I also believe Dany is the chosen champion and I also think her resistance to fire can be explained because of that and not her Targaryan blood.

As for the other guy the Night's watchmen talks about him, though to Arya so that could be hallucinated or whatnot, but sounds compltely unlikely.
As for Syrio surviving and being Jaquen, i can see a 10% for that happening, but as i ve said, Martin kills or crippels every cool male caracter as fast as possible, so i dont believe he's coming back, sadly

Great series so far considering the limitations of TV, I will say I thought they destroyed the Scene with Jon in and the wights though. Way too short and simple, barely any action, barely any burn, nothing burns down =(

Not that long till episode 9 airs.
I am very excited to see how they manage neds execution. (which undoubtly will happen this episode, hence the "baelor"-title)
We've seen that HBO is not that reluctant to show rolling heads (^^), on the other hand, a one-to-one adaption of the books, with arya witnessing the whole thing and perhaps just hearing it, might have a great effect even in the tv-series.
sooooo pumped!

I imagined Melisandre way differently, though Davos looks and sounds like it should imo. Balon, hm, okey i guess

Auditions are always gonna sound strange for the uninitiated. It's like watching raw un-edited footage of Game of Thrones, it would look terrible if you don't know what is still gonna happen to it, how much editting goes into making it what you see on TV.
That said i really liked that guy going for Davos, i could live with that. Probably my favorite character in the series so they had better get him right.

I didn't notice the red coment was around that time, this makes it quite logical for me then

I'm really hoping that they saved up their money to give us an awesome battle of the camps to end the series with.
The other thing I'm thinking is how they're gonna introduce characters that become important down the line but have been somewhat written out of the plot of the tv series. Notably Roose Bolton, there.
