Forced? It was a marriage pact, brokered by their parents, and both giving consent.

I think he means house westerling betraying the Lannisters. Nonetheless I don't believe the song was played to foreshadow anything, it was played because the Lannisters had just crushed their enemies.

I have not read the books, but I hope that he and Sansa escape to north, because they are the two characters I feel sorry for the most. No such thing as a happy ending in this world. EDIT: plus he's one brutal motherfucker

The battle here was expected so showing some of it in previews was alright but most that episode will be a heavy spoiler until the moment it airs. I am curious about this, too. In these two seasons, episode 9 was where the big things happened. They cannot keep up that principle for the red wedding. Even if they manage not to give out any hints, people will be expecting something big happening at episode 9. And if the preview reads "Robb and his army visit the Twins for a wedding", then they're gonna expect something big to happen there. Soo.. they need to do the red wedding at least one episode earlier to keep the people surprised.

The one in the books is fucking absolutely badass. ummm... what exactly have they changed from books to series with the hound? He seems like 100% exactly the same, like even most of his dialog is directly from the book. Do you mean just the portrayal? He does seem a bit more "wounded" and disturbed in the show and less of a crazy psychopath who kills the fuck out of people. I kinda don't mind it, as we all know what eventually happens in book 3 and portraying him more sympathetically in the show kind of sets up for it.

Yes, the last two Cat chapters were by faaaar the best written Cat chapters. So good. Am pretty excited for it. Partly because I can't wait to see people who haven't read the books go mental over it. EDIT: Also to the guy above, I think he is actually portrayed as less complex so far on the show than in the books. Our sympathy as readers comes from us understanding his pain, getting a much better idea of his torments, whereas in the show he has been....I mean...they have had a handful of scenes where he gets some character, but for the most part he is just the Hound who loves killing, and almost too much so. To me anyway.

Yes, like Robb giving his speech about how he would solve all problems and still win. That was a clear sign by Martin that "Oh no, we want none of that. Stark winning?! Not going to happen in my book" :D :D

BTW, what a great episode Blackwater was. I only missed Tyrion's chain, but the wildfire explosion made up for it!

They've already set him up as a sympathetic character. The hints were much more subtle in the book(probably due to portrayal, as you say) and his turning came as a surprise to me even up until Blackwater. It's not until much later when Sandor attempts to quell the rage, TV Sandor is pretty much already there. It seems to me that Bronn has had more screen time than The Hound. Or at the least, given Bronn more time while taking time away from The Hound. People must find Bronn's character more interesting, I guess.
