Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |
Agreed, Stealth. "This was homemade" Negan says confidently, after looking at the spent 9mm brass casing for one second. "Look at those crimps". You can't recognize a heavy crimp on a fired brass case, the crimp will have expanded with the rest of the brass. Maybe if the casing had cracked it would've been indicative of a bad reload but that was bullshit.
Rosita has shown that she'll try to kill Negan with no regard for her own life, making her a massive security threat for him when he goes on his little field trips. He lets her live and deletes a lesser character instead. Why? They decided to keep Rosita, there's no sense to it, it's clearly for reasons completely external to the narrative and it's indefensible.
Also how many silent looks can you fit in a fucking sequence, that is so cheesy...

I enjoyed the last scene. It had a lot of symbolism (Rick getting his revolver back) which I liked.
Rosita should've just missed or her gun should've had jammed because of the reloaded bullet. That would've been a lot more believable, yeah. Desoite the plot holes, I feel that the second half of the season will be waaays better than this season which basically had two good episodes in my opinion.

Well the actress that plays Sasha just landed a lead role in Star trek Discovery, know what that means...

Sasha was never really anything but a black beauty for Abraham anyway. Seriously, if you had to pick a favorite Walking Dead character, who's gonna pick Sasha? What is she even known for?
Now that I think of it, wasn't Abraham fucking Tara when we first came across their group with Eugene watching in the background? Whatever happened to that, why is Tara now a lesbo?
I don't even care anymore...

That was Rosita, Tara was always lesbian afaik.

why is people complaining or saying things like "It doesnt make sense..:" bro you are watching a serie about ZOMBIES, death ppl coming back to life, walking around etc and you expect things that make sense? jeez
Personally I really liked the last episode, I havent read the comics and have no idea about whats coming but I hope is not like GoT (and emotion rollercoaster) seeing important characters dying or even worse, all of them losing to negan again. At the same time I think that would make it way more interesting, we'll see.

Yup. We are indeed still on page 503 of this thread, and haven't gone back about 1000 posts. Your opinion on what people think of this show is not new, nor particularly well thought through NOR well argued. So I'm just going to refer you to the recurring conversation that has been had here every couple dozen pages when one of your brethren comes in to tell everybody they're retarded for expecting consistency, coherence and believable characters from a zombie show, at leave it at that.

The premise of the show is that there's a zombie apocalypse with certain rules. It's completely fine to construct such a what if scenario, the genres of fantasy and science fiction revolve all around that. But within that given set of rules, things have to make sense and be consistent, or else it's badly written.

Or it just doesn't take itself seriously like Z-Nation. Shit is so cheesy, but it totally grew on me.

Give yourself a big clap you must be the first person ever to say hey people shouldn't complain about consistency in a zombie movie! Did you come up with that one yourself? I've never heard it before! You're so right! Man, I'm sure you didn't read that somewhere and just restate basically what someone else said maybe at another website or previously in this thread!

Not to mention just flat out laziness of writers to setup the next scene or episode. Almost as AMC has them certain minutes for creation before it's time to fit more commercials into the show.
Prime example the introduction of Jesus, could have been a great intro to the character but also more exploration of the outside world. Instead we get Rick and Daryl leaving their car and hopping into a truck with supplies and leaving the car to search for more supplies in the truck. Could't have had Rick follow said truck in the car and have it break down or blow a tire and Jesus helping out and saving them thus building some trust, no it was that. It was beyond stupid for the sole purpose of making Michonne and Rick get together and introducing Hilltop. Which turned out to be another dumb episode and lazily written.
Then there is/was there attempt to have Alexandria shown as low on supplies and food. Yet Carol made cookies last season, and Negan made Spaghetti...

Carl not shooting Negan! Who writes something like that... just make him get caught if you want the Carl Negan Dad Son scenes. But first gunning down henchmen with no remorse and then when you see your actual target that you hate to the core... you give up to accept possible torturous death instead? Yeah that makes absolutely no sense. Who would sign off on such a script seriously?
Also I thought Negan's whole charade with lucille was to punish and intimidate them but not waste valuable work assets. But now his dudes just beat the shit out of a guy that was docile to them and gathered a huge truckload of supplies for them? While the other villagers were watching pool doing fuck all but don't mind them.

So...
+ Show Spoiler +The plan to move the cars and take the explosives then cover their tracks... The Saviors set the trap they would know where to look for the explosives to see if they were there or not. Scene made no sense.
Also every time Enid is in a scene I am finding myself hoping she doesn't talk as she is just a terrible no good character.

They literally explained this in the show. They moved the cars back to keep the walkers on the highway, as they might need that hoard later for some reason, not to fool the Saviors. The explosives were more important simply.

But how can could anyone ever believe that two old and normal size cars with a chain between them could ever run over hundreds of zombies like that? Disappointing episode definitely.
Season 8 is already signed too?

But at first they were to simply to pass by and get somewhere, then it came to getting the explosives. The latter being about hiding taking them.

Rosita is becoming the grown up version of Enid. No purpose and simply annoying.
