Good to see that the season premier is pretty awesome. I'm hoping they don't encounter the survivors or Terminus, but tbh I wasn't expecting them to escape on the very first episode...I would've figured another episode at most but I can't argue, really excited to see what will happen next!

The very end though, I can see some epic stuff this season

Good season premiere. I dont have problem watching gore but the slaughtering scene was just too much for me.

Who thinks that the terminus guys arent done for yet? We havent seen the last of the leader guy at least.

Sick episode. Would have loved to see some more of terminus and how they organized their community but w/e great episode. Do we know the black guy in the end or the signs ?

The Terminus flashbacks and that psycho woman seems to hint at that Terminus used to be a safe haven. They accepted some bad people that took over the place and did some evil shit but they somehow reclaimed Terminus and now they dont trust outsiders so they just slaughter them right away.

Really good episode. Kinda thinking that we haven't seen the last of the crazy Terminus lady, though. She'll probably survive and go out to get revenge, or something.

Also, that was one of the most blatantly obvious use of red shirts I've seen in a long time. "Hey, let's go kill these 4 main characters and these 4 random dudes." ...yeaah, right.

And how does that zombie disease work, anyhow? Since everyone is already infected, wouldn't that mean that eating humans means eating infected flesh, meaning turning into a zombie right away?

even with it's flaws, this episode was better than the entire last season combined. hopefully optimistic I won't want to quit the show this season. it's crazy to see how far they've detached from the books at this point, it's quite literally 2 completely different stories at the moment, which isn't bad (assuming the TV story is good) at least I don't know everything that's going to happen.

everyone is talking about how dark this episode was, but it didnt' really catch me off guard. Maybe I'm just too used to the blood and cruelty.

I mean, the cut throating scene was gross, but it's expected...they are cannibals after all. Fire zombie? Not a big deal. I don't see this episode as particularly disturbing...if they did stuff like torture, that would be worse but it was just survivors being cannibals.

I didn't find it disturbing so much as campy horror. It was over the top, especially the scene where the zombie is eating the guys nose, it was hilariously gruesome. The only real 'dark' moments were when they were gathering weapons in the meat freezer with all the human torsos etc. All the zombie specific stuff was classic zombie flick.

Come to think of it, why on earth did the cannibals kill people like that? They very explicitly did not hurt/destroy the brain, thus guaranteeing that the people killed would turn very soon. Doesn't sound like a smart thing to do when you want to eat them.

I'm probably thinking way too much about this.

I woke up at 6am to watch it before work and i sat there with a blank face through most of it. I didn't think it was overly gory / violent or a really good episode (it was good though.)

My favorite part was the end where they met up with tyreese, they ran towards each other and Tyreese handed the baby to Rick and headed for his sister without a word, It sort of signified that unspoken bond of them looking after their own, no thanks needed, its just what they do.

Seemed really gory to me, compared to other episodes, but I suppose it was a season premiere. Definitely the big bad cannibal villain of Terminus is still alive, possibly with some of his henchmen. One question I had was, did Tyreese actually kill the firework dude in the shack, or did he just beat him unconscious? And will he / the group regret it later if he was left alive?

Happy to see Morgan back outside. I thought it was unlikely that Rick or a member of the group would leave markings like that to show where they were going, but if he's going to join with the group it seems like a decent way of moving the plot. I wonder if he suspects Rick at the end of that path.
