Yeah, but, look how many times they made you think someone from the main cast was going to die during the show and also sometimes from the trailers. They do that for suspense and it makes people want to tune in and watch just to see if its true that said character is going to die. Huge majority of the time they don't and a small time they do.
I wouldn't worry to much about it though.

I just watched the finale after putting this season off for what seemed like forever. I'm pleasantly surprised. One part that really stood out and made me giggle was when Garrett refereed to our 3 main heroes as "ringleader, archer and samurai." It was just so silly. He could have said anything but he picked "samurai." After seeing the trailer for the next season I'm pretty pumped. It seems like they spend all of 2 or so episodes in terminus. I hope one of the main characters gets slaughtered because it would be really cheap if they got out without any casualties. As for their noble quest... well... with the way the show's going I think it'll be your typical everyone dies ending. It would be a pretty fitting end to the saga. Curing the plague would fuck up a few things, namely the game series in which Clementine needs to grow up into a bad ass and she can't do that if all the zombies disappear. Oh well, we'll see.

I don't think there will be an issue with there being a successful cure
the dude claiming to have the cure is clearly BSing everyone and is getting away with it due to their need for hope

I doubt any of the rest seasons will be better than the very first. Loosing governor that early would not make the series any better, it might be very straigh since new season. At least they had a wonderful bad character in their show.
It's like Joffrey could be killed in very 1st season of GoT. Glenn and Maggie story is personally for people who truely belives in love in difficult and even apocalyptic situations.

Also , please note in the trailer you never see Gareth and Rick group together outside terminus. The voice lines from Gareth ( ex : You have a choice , all you ) makes you think they become allies , but its not really like this. I think he is talking to his band of cannibals-idiots debating if they should go to DC. Guess we will see tomorrow !

Lots of action, a little bit predictable, but it feels nice that the good guys have everything going their way for once.

I think they played out the episode pretty well. I was actually expecting it to happen differently from the Season 5 Trailer but I was pleasantly surprised.

Almost teared up at the end when they all got reunited with the baby and Tyreese. Good beginning episode.
