One might say he has a hand bone to pick with Rick...

Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

If they were going to chop off his hand in the TV show, it'd probably play off exactly like what you're saying though, LOL. User was warned for this post

Wow at the governor!! I'd imagine he did what he did because he want to remain the "sole" figure of authority or be praised as the only one capable of keeping them alive...?

I'm hoping for the possibility that the black guy in the town ends up helping andrea/michonne return to the main group and joins them, being the shows equivalent of Tyreese

Like I said, just because they're preferable to be killed off, doesn't mean that's their whole purpose of being in the show. That isn't even the case though. Last season both Dale and Shane were killed off, both characters who were pretty integral to the story. So it isn't just a case of the boring characters being zombie fodder. I hope that T-dog doesn't get killed off; the group has so few useful male characters now that they kind of need him there lol. Plus I want to see them give him some personality. Edit: Sorry I misinterpreted what you said a little. Still, in a TV show with a reasonably small group where T-dog appears almost every episode, and where a lot of the drama of the show stems from the characters and group dynamics (and not just hacking zombies) there isn't much of a reason to have characters with no personality on the show. He isn't an extra, he's been with the group for 3 seasons and having useless characters doesn't make any sense.

+ Show Spoiler [Comic Spoilers] + Holy shit, Tyreese. Got locked in the gym with all those zombies, kills them all by himself, and when they break in hes sitting there, just fine with a mountain of corpses around him. What a badass.

He isn't an extra, he's been with the group for 3 seasons and having useless characters doesn't make any sense. I'm fine with Dale and Shane having been killed off; I'm not saying that that the boring characters are JUST zombie fodder, I just said they are preferable in many cases (like the season 2 finale when 2-3 random farm people were killed). I would agree the useless characters should have more personality, but I would still disagree with this statement: "He isn't an extra, he's been with the group for 3 seasons and having useless characters doesn't make any sense." Personality != significant to the plot, so while their deaths would be more heart-felt and important if they died, it wouldn't really affect the direction the story is going. That's all I'm hoping for. It's fine that they die, but it doesn't need to be rushed. I just dislike that so many people feel their deaths are overdue. Just let it come.

They showed that picture of his family at the end of the last episode, and presumable his wife bears a striking resemblance to Andrea. Might explain some of his fixation about those two staying in the commune.
