Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

Since zombies just eat people rather than biting them once, I can't understand why there are so many zombies.
I was also really disturbed by the shows portrayal of women as irrational mindless freaks. For any single problem, you can guess how a male character will react to the issue. But god damn, is it impossible to have consistent female characters?
Oh also, amazing how everyone is a fucking sharpshooter that can nail zombies through the head from moving vehicles lolol.
You should just enjoy it for what it is. Good advice for most forms of media.

I'm not sure that is quite true, I mean, just look at 'the bicycle girl' from the first(?) episode and the webisodes, she got chowed down on by a mob of walkers, and had the lower half of her body eaten but she still turned. Oh and also, if the show will continue anything like the comics, which it seems it will. Trust me, there will be strong women in the show. Seems unlikely. It's AMC so all the women will be stupid sluts driven by emotions.

Did you see the last episode? I think that gives you a hint on what the women will be like.

Here's my thoughts on this. + Show Spoiler +We haven't actually seen that many zombies in terms of zombie-to-pre-apocalypse ratio. There have never been more than a couple hundred zombies in one place (and the big one was in Atlanta) which is not huge given the millions of people living there before. That being said, either zombies congregate in large groups and these survivors have terrible terrible luck, or there are a shit-ton of zombies. Maybe it's reasonable compared to the original population, maybe its not, Remember though, that we also don't know anything about the genesis or early spread of the virus since Rick was unconscious for it, so its conceivable that there's an explanation there.
And finally, anyone who get bitten or scratched or otherwise comes into close contact with zombies becomes a zombie in turn. Thats a lot of potential for spreading the virus in the first few days before people realize. If you're in a group of 10 people and one gets scratched but you save him, you think everythings fine. That night, the zombie attacks and in the dark, confusing close combat that follows, several more group members are infected. Now thats maybe 30 or 40 percent infected in that group. That would provide a reasonably large supply of zombies if it happened even 1% of the time. And since they seem to travel in herds, it makes sense to some extent that herds would congregate where there are survivors, and survivors tend to go towards the same places (town centers with supplies, pharmacies, etc).
I was also really disturbed by the shows portrayal of women as irrational mindless freaks. For any single problem, you can guess how a male character will react to the issue. But god damn, is it impossible to have consistent female characters?
I agree that this is a serious problem.

Anyone know how and where I can catch the season 3 premiere online? I watched season 1 and 2 through netflix and I don't have cable/satellite TV.

This show is pretty terrible tbh. The characters are absolutely not natural, especially the women as someone just said (I hate pretty much all of the female characters in the show - and Carl), and there are many, many illogical things happening all the time.
That being said, I can't help but be quite excited for season 3, as I'm a big fan of the comic, and one of it's best parts should be coming up very soon. Let's see if they screw it up like they did with everything else. I really really hope they don't.

I am extremely happy for season 3..So close I can taste it!

Not to be a buzz kill, but the director actually said that his main goal was for everyone to hate Lori. Kind of worked I guess xD

This is such a stupid goal. There is hate and then there is love to hate. She does nothing usefull - nothing. I don't love to hate her, i don't secretly like her - i just hate her, i fast forward half her lines and scenes especially the ones with Carl or any of the other women.

Director receives feedback that everyone hates his character.
Director comes out and claims his goal was for everyone to hate his character.
Fans call him a genius.
