Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

So you don't die because of the virus, you die because of zombies' mouth are as dirty as an alligator's. Confirm?
This was confirmed multiple, multiple times in this thread yes.

They are all infected. Thus the title "The Walkind Dead"
Getting bitten just speeds up the process of turning into a zombie somehow. Its not confirmed how that really works though.

Thats cool. I still wanna know how the infection started tho.

Edit: Sorry DW-Unrec, that was mean of me.

Spoilers of virus + Show Spoiler +Everyone already contaminated because the virus spreads via air. The bite only causes infection for you to die faster. Virus has no effect on people unless their brain is dead. When you die you'll turn to a walker no matter what you do.. Unless you find a cure ofc.

Season finale should be a good one though, Daryl's even using a gun, shit just got real.
He just saw his father figure(Shane had been much more of a father figure to Carl recently) get stabbed in the chest, he was clearly in some kind of shock. Also, the scene was set up so you weren't sure if he was scared of Rick and pointing the gun at him at that point. That was clearly what Rick thought since he was saying, "Wait, this isn't what it looks like".
To me that was the whole point of the scene, and it makes absolute sense for a 12 year old to freak the fuck out after seeing something like that.

The comic never reveals that and I wouldn't be surprised if the show never touches that point either, particularly with the CDC destroyed.

Better episode than the last couple ones :D Didn't feel the urge to skip through it.

Great episode!! A little slow in the middle as usual, but the latter half is pure awesome!!

Don't think so. Most of the dead seamed to walkers that were already shot in the head by the soldiers who were originally stationed there.

i think Robert Kirkman explained that they didn't turn because they were in car accidents with head traumas. Obviously a weak explanation but it is what it is.

I don't get what the title has anything to do with this new realization of everyone is infected
can't walking dead just refer to the zombies; as they are dead and they walk?
opposed to the infected, alive, and walking?

Great episode I loved every minute of it, still the best show on TV at the moment.

I wonder if everyone already being infected will have something to do with Lori's baby. Perhaps we will have another Dawn of the Dead zombie baby birth scene?

It's a double entrendre. As in the dead are literally walking AND the living are deadmen walking

Agreed. The 1st Episode is still the best episode out there.

I never read the comics but that would be really amazing! I highly doubt they would have something like that though, its suppose to trigger when you die not when you are born.

the comics were depressing because left and right people were dropping like flies. im tired of the same old hope filled happy living fest that is zombie apocolypse. i'd love the group to become hardened criminals, a roaming gang of thugs. a show that you watch, and despise at the same time.
