Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

That was his only mistake in my mind and it killed him...Sad day i'm telling ya I felt a similar way. I thought he died in a crappy way, but I think thats just because he was my favorite character and I wanted him to go out like the badass he was. He ended as an emotional psychopath. I wish Shane took out T-Dog before he died lol, that guy apparently has no voice box. He's just a lamp in the corner. No man, T-dog got to carry out an order some episodes ago, and this time he had like 4-5 lines!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! + he did something nice! I'm telling you man, the show has got something pretty awesome in store for this guy
I hope they do have something big in store for T-Dog, until last episode I'd forgotten he was even in the show.

Not happy at all shane died, he was one of the real characters on the show.
Useless: Lori = useless. Her character could not show up anymore and nobody would notice. T-dog = only because he never does anything and never has any lines. Not his fault. Lori gets 2000 lines a show and it's all about her. Carl = Just a plot device honestly. Does nothing to move the story along other than being an excuse for something to happen. That's writers fault though, lack of creativity and just forcing things upon the viewer.
That grey hair bitch, don't even know her name = Lori whines enough for the entire show, don't need more.
Useful: Daryl = Moody guy who isn't afraid to do the dirty work. Silent loner type. Worthwhile character as you need that one guy who is just "different" than everyone. Rick = Constantly torn between his morals and what needs to be done. More than he can handle and it's starting to show. Shane = Only real person on the show imo. Dealing with harshest realities always and is the only one who isn't trying to pretend that it's all going to be ok. Really going to miss his character, writers should have redeemed him somehow and kepted it going. Really lazy writing. Andrea = Provides some mid-way point between shane/rick showing the morality and the giving in part of the show. Glen = Fucking maggie, someone has to do it. Rick is married, tdog can't talk/act and shane is dipping in andrea.
Sucks that shane left. I would have much preferred that they had him leave the group and become a side story. Keep him in the show but have him dealing with his own stuff or something. Eventually redeem himself and come back. We needed more "action" characters and less "whining about everything" characters which are in abdundance.

Did i miss an episode? What did happen that they suddenly start to move into the house and run patrols etc? A random walker? They sat on their asses on that farm for like weeks and did nothing and then a random walker shows up and they start to fortify the farm? WTF?
And then ofcourse a random army of walkers show up. Their spidey senses mustve been tingling to suspect those walkers showing up.
Why are these writers SO stupid? They arent even trying!
That beeing said , im still enjoying the show somehow....
Why does everything have to be perfectly explained to you? Do you completely lack imagination? A walker stumbled in on their farm and killed one of their guys. Unless they are all monkeys they would start thinking ahead, and start cleaning up the area. I thought it was a great idea. That walker was a wakeup call that the swamps wouldn't hold them off because they were drying up, so of course they'd start fortifying. Stop complaining just because you want to complain, especially when you even admit you like the show.

or maybe he was just out of his mind and not thinking this whole thing through. anybody got some thoughts on this?.
He explained his plan to Rick in the field. He was going to say Randall shot Rick and that he then snapped Randall's neck.

Torn about death of Shane. One way I'm happy because he was a whiny bitch, in other side he brought a lot of tension to the show. Hopefully Ricks wife and kid get eaten and we will have a decent cast.
Wth btw about someone not being bitten turning into zombie! Argh I should get the comics. Feel like show is getting butchered compared to comics.

Perfectly explained? You have to be kidding me. Even for this type of show, SOME logic must be present for the stories to carry out in a believable manner. Stuff like this is called bad writing, as they could have made a better effort to draw some lines so that the logic was there.

Ok, what the hell did Jenner whisper to Rick? Your wife's pregnant can't be it....

+ Show Spoiler +Probably the fact that everyone turns when they die. We're already getting close to the group finding out (Randall had his neck snapped, wasn't bitten but still turned), and I think Rick's going to spill the beans next episode.

I thought it was explained well enough as FreeZer stated, that particular instance at least. The farm had always been this miraculous safe haven, we learned that this was mainly because of the swamplands surrounding it. However, as winter rolls around the swamps start to dry up and ground hardens enough to not be particularly useful at stopping walkers, when this happened a Walker got onto the farm and killed Dale, that one incident was a massive wakeup call to the rest of the group that times were changing and they needed to better fortify and protect the farm.

I didn't realize how different the movie would be from the comics. for example, there's no Daryl character. Andrea is a lot more likable. Shane dies really early in the series. Around the time Rick Grimes first finds the group Shane pretty much dies after the zombie attack. So many things just went on in the comics that didn't make it to the series, which probably explains the dip in quality. + Show Spoiler [Minor spoiler] +right now I'm really looking forward to the prison arc. that has been the best storyline thus far. That happened to heroes, the director had to change the story cuz the actor could not die beucase his contract hasnt expired.

Jenner told Rick he wasn't a proctologist but he would love to give his ass an examination.

Shane was the most interesting and developed character on the show. He created an interesting dynamic and drove the plot forward. But he was becoming dangerous and had to leave one way or the other. I didn't think he'd actually pull through and try to kill Rick, but whatever. I wonder how the show will work now with one of the two main characters gone.
About the way the virus spreads: it seems to be the consensus that everybody carries the virus because it spreads via air, contaminated water etc. But isn't it also plausible that it only spreads by blood contact? It isn't unreasonable to assume Shane was infected with all the wounds and contact with zombies he had all the time. And Randall had bleeding wrists from the handcuffs - it was shown multiple times - and could have had contact with Shane. Am I overlooking something? Of course, even if blood contact was the only way to get infected, that could still include most characters since they mess with zombies constantly.
Now with dozens of zombies about to overrun the farm, what will happen? Will some people manage to flee? Or will season 2 end tragically with everybody's death, and season 3 will be about a different group of survivors? Whatever the case, next week will be the last episode on the farm, that much good news is certain. I can barely wait to see what happens.

Not sure if someone replied to you yet but when they were on the field Shane said he would shoot Rick and blame it on Randall. He would then get Randall's corpse which he killed earlier and say he snapped his neck.

Im getting mad about it because it has so much potential and the writers of this show just fuck it up. They put the actors and all the people who do a decent job in a bad light. This show couldve been up there with the top 10 shows if it werent for the bad writing...

Sup dad, there's a zombie behind you... Seriously how fucking retarded can a kid be, here lemme just point a gun in your direction and look constipated. God I hope he'd just die already.
Season finale should be a good one though, Daryl's even using a gun, shit just got real.
|
I think everyone will die next episode in the season finale except Rick, Carl, Lori, Daryl, Glen, Maggie, Andrea, and T-Dog.
|
My friend told me last week that a friend told him that everyone was infected, and they become a zombie only when they die. Obviuously a spoiler from the comic.
He also told me something else. SPOILER, watch out + Show Spoiler + when someone gets bit, they don't die from the virus, but from an infection transmitted by zombie's saliva. So you don't die because of the virus, you die because of zombies' mouth are as dirty as an alligator's. Confirm?

You guys keep whining about the writing like the drama bitches you are(no offense, just best explanaiton of their behavior i could think of). Anyways this show is awesome, its a poorly written zombie acolypse series! = IT DOESNT HAFTO BE WELL WRITTEN, becuse all you zombienerds still watch it! I think they have a goal for the series and thats what they are trying to get too, thats the somewhat weird events(remember they first planned only 2 seasons), Rick is the best character as he is a badass whene it comes to killing people, + all his decisions seems always the most logical(the most geniune character in the series!
Sorry for my spelling!
